The good aspects of this place are that it is a very pleasant looking site (really a motel) clean and well laid out. There are great views of the peaks and friendly staff. However, as posters have already said the wifi is hopeless, the surcharges are unjustifiable. If you pay by card in the restaurant you don't get a surcharge...

Stayed for one night during South Island tour. Very well finished rooms. Clean, modern and with comfortable bed. It;s laid out like a motel but the rooms don't have microwave / hob / plates etc. (although there is a small fridge). It;s about 20 mins to walk into the town centre along a dead straight, quiet road. A good place...

The owners were incredibly attentive and nice, the room was spotless, and the bathroom was very roomy. It was also nice being able to park the car right outside the room. All in all, a very comfortable place to spend a couple of days or more.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Fox Glacier. Glacier itself was brilliant. Had dinner on first night in hotel and the chef, Crystal, came out to find out how it was. The truth is, dinner was great, but portions are so large. Crystal took us out back to meet her daughter Monique and dog, Pippi who live on site...

We had a 2 night stay here and it was fine. It looks as though it has recently been refurbished and was all spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom and guest laundry. It seemed to be a family run business and the manager seemed to be very helpful, they provided a mini bus to...

This hotel is nice and quiet and just want you need after a long journey. We had a nice big room near reception and the owners were lovely. They answered all our questions and directed us where to go the follow day on our road trip. The tv is super dated so hopefully if we are back in town again...

Due to last minute schedule changes I booked this hotel in Fox Glacier. The price seemed very high but needed a room. The reason for a 3 rating is no so much the price but what you get for it, not much. The room is very small. It is equipped with a very small fridge that is stocked with items...

Hi, thank you very much for your time and feedback. I believe you were booked in one of our Mini studio room and this is what we advertise for as a mini studio rather than our other room types i.e. Super King Suite or Super King Spa Suite. In regards to the pricing we are competitive in the market and...

Had dinner here as the menu read well, but were very disappointed with the overall experience. Background music was too loud and not turned down after a request to do so, incorrect wine was served, and the main course badly prepared and presented. For the high prices charged we had expected a much higher standard. This restaurant really needs to...

It's just an ok hotel/motel for a night or two. A bit out of town, with an on-site restaurant, washing and drying machine for travelers to use. Quiet, big rooms with very basic decor and a spacious bathroom. GM friendly and helpful.
