All in all an OK stay. The place is really nice, with a pond and the mountains in the back. Great views. There might actually be no need to go to the Matheson Lake! The room was good, the host welcoming and breakfast good. It is true that the helicopters make quite some noise, only in the morning. But I...

Refer to commentary mentioned previously. Here are the pictures from our stay. Beastie the Dog was so friendly and cute. Not only is Raelene a fantastic host, she is also a great cook, she kindly shared her recipes with us too.

We have stayed at over 10 different places during our road trip across nz, this is our favorite home stay! If you enjoy privacy, given there are only 2 or 3 couples max per night and a personalized level of service amongst a beautiful backdrop, this is then the place definitely would want to stay at. Raelene is an outstanding...

Our experience here was mixed. We stayed in the one room with an ensuite, which was lovely and comfortable. All of the other rooms had bathrooms where you had to pass through a public area, which may be less than ideal for some people. The home was beautiful and we loved the view. We did hear snoring throughout the night...

We arrived at about 4:30 in the afternoon and were greeted with a cuppa and a cookie which was very welcome. We asked for some advice on where to go and what to do. The advised walk around the lake was lovely despite the later hours we just managed to miss the rain that was soon to set in. Breakfast...

Raelene is the world's best ever cook and her food is always fresh and absolutely delicious - if you're extremely lucky you might even be treated to whitebait fresh from the river....her accommodation is very comfortable and well presented and the views of the mountains over the beautiful gardens is superb. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing...

My husband Tommy and sister in law stayed for 2 nights with Raelene in January 2013 ( sorry for the delay in review but a lot of things happened in my life since ). This is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting . We had to share shower with our sister in law. Our first greeting with Raelene wasn't...

This home stay is the one I am most satisfied with during my trip. I didn't expect that beautiful view. We can see mount cook clearly. They have a nice and huge garden with pool and bridge. We even took our wedding photo there!! In the morning landlord will prepare a nice breakfast for us. The next day I drove...

My wife and I stayed with Raelene on our Honeymoon, what a grand old time we had. Very easy going and great service. The house was beautiful and room great. Beastie the little dog with the big heart had a bath for our arrival and was nice and fluffy and soft. We rode the motorbikes, played with the animals, watched...
