A lovely place to camp right beside the river. Friendly and helpful staff with a smile. Clean facilities - a large deck equipped with tables chairs, loungers and BBQ to enjoy the evenings. A good spot for a swim in the river too.

After a difficult and slightly scary drive on the alternative main South Island route post Kaikoura earthquake, the camp provided a stunning and quiet stop-over. We had a clean and tidy cabin with a view of the Buller River. Robin was a fabulous host, offering information, history and activities if needed. A well-situated, clean kitchen, opening on to a covered...

What a beautiful spot to camp. Right on the river just out of town. The gentleman in the office was very pleasant and helpful.Could recommend it to anyone looking for a stopover crossing from one side of New Zealand to the other.

We only stayed one night as a stopover between fox glacier and Blenheim but we had a great time. Beautiful spot on the river with very clean facilities and friendly & helpful owners. Lovely deck area fronting the river to eat meals.

Since our visit a year ago..we did notice that the grounds seem a little neglected with weeds growing through the gravel everywhere. Also the bathroom facilities although are of a...

What an amazing location to start. Right on the Buller river. Fishing just downstream of the site was great. Lots of trout at sunset. The facilities were in great condition and the best we had seen on our whole South island trip. Showers were 2 dollars(not a biggie) as they are awesome, hot and good pressure. Everything was clean and...

Simple cabins in a lovely park setting. Had a problem with the lock on our cabin and this got sorted very quickly. So nice going to hang out by the river. Only problem was having to pay for showers. $2 is too much.

I stopped off on the way from Picton to Karamea in my camper van. The facilities were great and I had a peaceful night. There are some nice sites down by the river that I would love to try next time. The service was great, the lady was lovely and very helpful. Top class service, thank you.
