Wifi didn't work. Fridge was turned off when we arrived. Even though we arrived after the advised check-in, the owner wasn't sure if our accommodation was ready. Decent location. Nice to sit out in the evening as the sun was shining over our cabin.

Only stayed one night here on our way through to Nelson, and given the price we paid compared to other places we had booked further south we were not expecting a great deal. But in fact, we were very surprised at the value for money. Room 14 was very spacious compared to everywhere else we have stayed on this trip... More

Murchison is a really interesting town with a wonderful museum and if you go to this town then this motel will see you fine for the night. It was very hot but we had booked a larger unit with a sitting room and separate bedroom overlooking the back which was peaceful and quiet with some sheep and chickens running sround.... More

Very accomodating and kind management. Older style rooms, but very very clean and equipped with everything you need. Clearly alot of effort goes into this place. Five stars from me for great personal service which is hard to come by these days. Many thanks :)

...not up to standard these days by design limitation. Room 8 with a musty odour. Feels like the bed fills the room with the remaining fittings squashed in the space available. One pillow each. Poor quality off white sheets.. Small handsink in the toilet to fill the kettle. Eight channels on the tv. Warm greeting from gentleman at the desk.... More

The motel is well off the main road & very quiet. We stayed as a stop over between the Picton ferry & Greymouth. A great little find- good bed, very clean & tidy with friendly operator. Nothing to fault. Wi fi did not operate.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower pressure was pathetic and needed the heat turning up. The fridge was not even on when we arrived which was annoying because we had things that needed to be refrigerated. It was a wet and chilly afternoon and no heating had been turned on and the first heater we tried... More

Very nice room. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom was nice and modern and very clean. Exceeded expectations. Only thing I can think of that would of been nice is if the heaters were turned on so our room was warm when we arrived (was pretty cold that day and took awhile for the room to heat up) Owner was very... Nice room. Clean and tidy. Well maintained for an older style motel. Plenty of parking. We used this motel as a base for a 4WD trip. We explored all the local valleys and lakes a bit further north. My test. Would I stay again. Too right I would

Stayed in a 1-bedroom unit which was spacious and well-presented. Older style units but very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped (including a full size stove). Lovely modern bathroom, Very quiet at night. We've stayed here before, and would definitely come back again.
