This place is amazing! Joos and her staff were incredible. It is only a 10 minute walk from town, but far enough away to be a quiet oasis with spectacular ocean views. Fall asleep at night to the sounds of the waves, watch gorgeous sunsets over the ocean, spend the day at the beach. The wifi is dependable, showers are...

This hostel literally surmounts every other place in montañita..in its components but also the concept as a whole. If you want to recharge your batteries, this is the place to stay! Joos and the boys are amazing cooks and serve you a delicious breakfast every morning (included and they even came up with a tasty alternative for me not eating...

A group of 8 of us intended on staying 2 nights but ended up staying for 2 weeks! Very chilled out, the owner is very relaxed and friendly. She cooks on demand for breakfast and dinners, and goes out of her way to help. Short walk to the beach, and short walk to town, but far enough away to be...

The hostel is located on a small hilltop, just far enough out of town to be totally quite, at less than a 5 min walking distance from the beach and 10 from the center of town. The view is amazing, showers are hot, wifi stable and fast, food AMAZING and a bunch of hammocks are calling. The breakfast is included,...

We stayed three nights in the private cabana here and had a great stay. Joos, the owner is really friendly and interesting and cooks AMAZING food. It's the tastiest and healthiest food we've had in South America. The whole hostel has a panaramic view of the sea and hammocks and a terrace to enjoy it from. It's a short walk,...

Stayed in Punto Verde Hostel for 4 nights and we slept in a lovely little cabin which was very cosy and also with mosquito nets which you really need in Montanita! The views from this place have got to be the best around as you basically have panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and what better place to enjoy it...

This place has the perk of a great view and a very friendly host, but not too much more going for it. I visited with my girlfriend, and we were the only ones staying there. It's really really far from the center of town, walking takes 20 min .. more or less. it felt a bit lonely as a result....

Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of Feb, and it was.. interesting. Positives: - amazing views over Montañita, worth the climb up from town for the tranquility - nice breakfast and great 5$ dinner offered (especially the chilli prawn pasta!) - impressive concept for a hostel, interesting to hear how it was all built etc However... - despite...

Travelling in a group of 6 friends this was the perfect spot for us. We wanted somewhere that offered a balance between the lively town of Montanita and a relaxing place close to the beach. Punto Verde provided just that. The hostel is situated a top of a small hill offering a great view of the beach. Getting into town...
