We stayed in Bio Hostal for 2 nights while we stayed in Mindo. We seemed to be the only guests. It was a nice hostal which was close to the town center, with a good pressure shower and a nice breakfast, and we even got...More
Stayed here for two days. Good beds and pillows. Spartan and somewhat sketchy stairs but good breakfast and nice people. Wifi not really usable. My only real complaint is that the walls are essentially paper thin and we could hear every noise inside and out....More
Never judge a book by its cover. The hostal is near the end of a dirt road and looks kind of rough. Inside is a lovely, clean dining area. The rooms are spacious and CLEAN! Your room gets cleaned daily because of the bugs. Mindo...More
This is the best hostel for your stay in Mindo. The owners are nice and helpful, and the facilities are lovely. Arrange your tours with them. Breakfast is worth the price. You will fall in love with Mindo and this hostel.

There are 3 or more buses per day directly to Mindo center from Ophelia bus station in the north of Quito. However I would recommend taking the ecovia (25 cents) which travels from the old town along 6 decembre to Rio Coco station, transfering to the large northstation (terreste norte) in Carcelen, and taking any bus going to the coast that will stop at top of hill near Mindo. Then take a taxi into town. There is always a bus leaving along this route with minimal wait, no worries about advance purchases or schedule, quick and easy.
