This hostal was affordable and very comfortable. The delicious breakfast was included and changed everyday - a luxury in hostal aimed for backpackers. My room had a balcony where plenty of birds could be seen and heard at all hours, and the sunset was stunning. The hostal's location was the right distance from the center of town and felt a...

This hostel is close to the center of town, has a great breakfast and reasonable price. There is drinking water, tea and coffee available at all times which is an extra perk. The water in the showers was hot, and I enjoyed hanging out in the hammock watching the birds in the evening. The only thing that could have made...

This hostal close to town is warm and welcoming. Hosts Abe and Nazir were very friendly and easy-going. We took our Spanish classes in the restaurant area so it was super convenient. The showers were always hot and the bed was comfortable. It was clean and comfortable. Each night noise can be heard from the nearby discos (?) and/or futbol...

Best value traveler's hostel we found on our trip! The breakfast is delicious, fresh, and filling. Endless coffee -- any time of day -- puts this accommodation right up near the top! Our hosts were very friendly and really went out of their way for us -- the night we arrived I was coming down with a cold and Abi,...

Absolutely loved staying here for the weekend- the rooms are clean and spacious with attached bathrooms. Prices are very reasonable and include a delicious breakfast every morning. Lots of open space for hanging out, designated hammocking areas, complimentary tea, coffee, and purified drinking water is available all hours of the day. The staff were very helpful and helped plan adventures...

Room was more than adequate, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and common areas very pleasant. Staff very helpful -- but often nowhere to be found. Only complaints were hard to find staff (needed towels, were promised them, but several hours later still no towels, internet didn't work, couldn't find staff to help -- but ended up being town internet issue, not...

I basically lived at this hostal for a week and I couldn't recommend it more. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the coffee was always hot, even in the afternoon. The rooms were spacious and clean. I paid a little extra for my own bedroom (Tucan room) and bathroom since I was staying for so long, and it was...

We didn't stay here but were lucky to be hooked up with the owner, Nasir, who is also a local bird guide. He took us out for a fun morning of bird spotting and casual walking. We later learned that his hostel runs what seemed to be the only (open) laundry in town. We dropped off and it was ready...

I had a really wonderful stay at Bio Hostal in Mindo. My room was spacious and clean, wifi worked well, and included breakfast was filling and tasty! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place itself felt relaxed and peaceful. The water in the shower did switch from hot to cold and back again quite frequently, but as someone...
