There just isn't one thing to complain about. Only once did I feel a staff member was a little curt but the other staff did a great job making sure I wasn't upset. I've been there whilst going through a tough situation. The younger staff girl whose name I forget. So sorry!🤦🏻‍♀️She was very comforting and giving. I felt like I had friends there. ❤️

Macey was so helpful. We weren't staying at the hotel: just came in off the sidewalk to ask a question and she went above and beyond to help. My husband and I were so impressed that we will definitely stay at the hotel next time we are in New Bedford MA!

Our experience at this hotel was mixed. We liked the location with many restaurants near by. The staff was friendly and there was a nice bar downstairs. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are small and there isn’t much room for more than one suitcase. The breakfast was very limited with children’s cereal, granola, yogurt and apples. We only had breakfast there once and went out to breakfast the other two mornings. We paid a higher room rate for a harbor view. We could only see the harbor from the room if you turned your neck. The parking lot was a few blocks from the hotel.

Positive first! Great staff, warm greetings, kind bar staff, easy parking, Why I won't be back: sheets don't fit the bed and they are scratchy. My husband and I stretched the bottom sheet best we could to at least get them over the mattress sides. Scuffed walls, tiny bathroom, cramped furniture, beat up desk, bad fluorescent blue lighting, and the only art was oddly hung behind the TV.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I looked at pictures of the hotel before and it showed a breakfast bar on the bar. It says continental breakfast but they only have small boxes of cereal, milk and some granola bars. Very misleading. The coffee was so strong and one morning it was cold. Went down and asked for washrags and shampoo. They said they would bring it up. Called after an hour and she said she would come soon. Wait another hour call again. She said she brought them and handed them to me while i brushed my teeth. I said you went to The wrong room then. She acted aggravated but did bring some. One morning after only one of us showered, the second one had absolutely no hot water at all! And sink was plugged. One morning we went down and they had cold cereal but no milk so we ate dry cereal, dont bother!

Stayed here last year during my local trip & wasn’t thrilled then but decided to try again & hope for better. Booked a 2 night stay as price was ok compared to others in the area & convenient location. Parking is still awful – had to circle several times before I could get a spot at the small ‘loading zone’ to drop off bags. Then circled around some more to get to the open unattended parking lot several blocks away. Lots of construction in the area makes it even more trying and many on-street parking spaces blocked and sidewalks missing. On-street parking is free 6pm-9am if you want to try that. As a single woman traveling, I definitely do not like to park in the distant lot and walk up at night & also not fun in the pouring rain. Last year they ‘got’ me for paying extra for harbor view but not this year. However, my 1st room was lacking an attached toilet seat so they upgraded my room to a harbor view (small view). Room was average – clean and spacious, bottom sheet did not fit so bunched up, no microwave, no Bible, coffee maker did not work but was replaced quickly. Location is a plus – walking distance to Whaling National Park attractions and to the harbor with great views and restaurants abound. Breakfast was minimal, one had to ask at the front desk for what you wanted from choices of juice, granola bars, yogurt, cereal – basic unexciting stuff. Disappointing. Nothing hot. The bar/restaurant were non-existence when I was there – not sure when it is open. Staff overall very pleasant and helpful. Pros/Cons in this place

This hotel was a disappointment. It’s going for an urban chic vibe but comes across very dark and abysmal. The shower leaked like crazy. The shower shelf was broken so you had to put all toiletries on the floor. Apparently they don’t do housekeeping services unless you stay 3 nights or more … so no changeover of linens, making of the bed, etc. Continental breakfast included …. Which was bagged muffins and granola bars. I was shocked. It was altogether a disappointing stay and I wish I had taken the time to find something nicer like a quaint B&B. Stars for the coffee and convenience of location.

We had a very disappointing experience with the New Bedford Harbor Hotel. My wife and I stayed here for our wedding in the area, and a number of our wedding guests stayed there too. On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location in downtown New Bedford, near lots of good restaurants and historic sites. We also appreciated the hotel's dedicated parking lot. The bar seemed like it was going to be great for our guests to enjoy. Unfortunately, we had lots of issues. First of all, our room was not particularly clean. We found a Cheerio on the ground within the first few minutes of arrival, and there were lots of stains throughout the room. It wasn't awful, but not great. We then started to run into service issues. First, the hotel inexplicably cancelled a reservation that our family had for 3 rooms. We had called to change the reservation to the name of the people who would be staying, which the hotel said was fine. When the guests finally checked in, however, the hotel had released the rooms and there was no other availability. The hotel gave no warning and just cancelled the rooms, leaving our family members without a place to stay. We also planned to have an informal "after party" at the hotel after our wedding. Our wedding planner had called the hotel, and they had ensured us that it would be no problem for us to show up at the hotel's bar with 50-70 guests. We asked them to reserve a space for us, but they said they had a few weddings staying in the hotel so could not reserve any space. When we showed up after the wedding, not only had the hotel booked the space for another group, but they refused to serve anyone from my wedding, even though there was plenty of space. There were probably 5-10 people beyond our group at the hotel's fairly large bar, but they still refused to serve us, for really no clear reason. The bar staff was also extremely rude to my wife and me (on our wedding night), even though we were just trying to understand why we couldn't be served. Luckily, there was a good bar in the area that welcomed us. My family is from the New Bedford area and I really wanted to like this hotel. I was really excited when it opened, with the hope that it might bring more visitors to see the area. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit. They really need to fix their operational issues and poor management.

The hotel is a historic downtown property. Because of this, the rooms are quite small. The staff, particularly Macey, was extremely sweet and helpful. We had to cut our stay short and Macey was very accommodating with refunding the two remaining nights on our reservation. Parking is not at the hotel, but in a poorly maintained and poorly lit lot about three blocks away.

Got a harbor view. Little far from the harbor but we could see the lighthouse. For an extra $10 at least we weren’t looking at the side of a building. The staff was very friendly. Terrha ( sorry if I spelled it wrong) at the bar was very friendly. This was the downtown I wanted before I left New Bedford. Great restaurants within walking distance. Easy street parking. Because of staffing problems the kitchen was not open. Hope that will change for them. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
