The views are lovely and the house looks beautiful. The rooms are in keeping with the historic property however we didn't find them comfortable, pictures on the walls were a little unnerving! There was no hot water in the room and the food was awful!! The breakfast buffet was covered in flies! We complained on checkout but no discount was...

The beauty of this place is breathtaking. You feel like you have entered another world as you pull into the drive that leads to the historic house at the top of the hill. And you have! The staff is so welcoming and charming. Some have been there for decades. The grounds are spectacular with Spanish moss hanging from huge trees,...

The personal was polite but incorrect. Twice (reception & employee) told us free drink and snacks at the studyroom. I repeated their remark,...

Stayed in the Pond Cottage. The accommodations were wonderful. Well appointed with great amenities. AC worked well-which was a plus with the heat and humidity. Gandy was our tour guide of the antebellum home . She was very knowledgeable, interesting with tidbits of trivia. We ate in the 1818 restaurant for dinner. The food and service was superb. Highly recommend.
