This hotel is conveniently located close to bars and restaurants and not too far from the ski lifts (more on this below) . This is definitely not a "ski in - ski out" hotel and considerable hiking is required with full ski gear to get to the lifts. The hotel was clean and comfortable but very hot during our weekend,...

Requested specific rooms, had email confirmation and called hotel to confirm prior to booking. Arrived to be told rooms don't exist. AVOID rooms 15 and 16 on each floor which is outside the lifts and stairs. With tiled floors noise is horrendous especially if trying to get children to sleep. On a good note lounge bar is comfortable and bar...

As an English business traveller spending a large part of my life in Andalucia, I discovered Sierra Nevada last year. A great ski resort that I now visit whenever I get an opportunity. the Melia Sierra Nevada is right in the centre of the resort, perfectly located with fantastic facilities. Rooms are a little dated with old fashioned alpine furniture,...

The rooms were very standard, ours were at the back of the hotel. The rooms were always too hot and there was no room thermostat to control the temperature. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a disco outside our bedroom window and we were woken up regularly at 6am when this ended by...

We stayed over Christmas for 3 days great for skiing couldn't be closer to the slopes, the room was a little dated but comfortable. The food was good and the restaurant staff were friendly. The spa which seems to be a new addition was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

The Melia Sierra Nevada is a good option to travel for ski as its close to the slopes and offers a good quality/service for the price. Hotel was good only drawback was 4 of us in a family room - which was just a normal room with no balcony and a pull out bed.- food both breakfast and evening meals - choice and quality was great. Bit pricy but we added the extra for the meals and it was well worth the additional #100 odd pounds.
