We traveled to Keystone in order to visit Mt Rushmore for our 7th wedding anniversary! It is the "off season" there now, but we were glad to see the Rushmore Express in full operation with all of its amenities! We even had a welcome "goody"...More
Lovely suite, comfortable bed. We booked through Badlands Vacation and got a great rate. Food was okay, but they advertised a continental breakfast so was not expecting a full hot breakfast. The ladies in the breakfast room worked very hard to keep the counters full....More

You're welcome! That's fantastic you had such a memorable experience with us from start to finish, thank you for sharing with us and future guests. We hope to see you again at Rushmore Express!
They advise on what to see, where to eat, and will sacrifice their time to make you comfortable.. I had airport request for pick up from Rapid Regional and on a snowing rainy day, they came through for me. You deserve recognition
This was like finding gold in the Black Hills. We came for a conference but with our friends we enjoyed Keystone! The staff was so friendly and always willing to help! The suite was far above expectations! We will always recommend this place

From what I've read here on T.A. about this hotel, as well as the responses from the hotel to reviews' comments, I think your best bet is to simply call the hotel and ask. This seems to be a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde hotel....one section is really nice, but more expensive; one is cheaper and described as 'rustic' but that really means old and outdated.
Our room had two queen bed, was in the older section, and exited on the parking lot at the side of the lobby area. Management makes a big deal about upgrading the older rooms this winter, but if you're not into paying for a suite or have a large party, then until that happens, the smaller rooms are functional, but far from 'nice'. Good luck!
