My daughter got married on 27/1/23 the whole wedding was in the hotel, perfect from start to finish, The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are pristine, the food was amazing, staff were the best, my 2yr old granddaughter ran us ragged but the girls serving were brilliant with her, highly recommended, perfect for a nice meal and a stay over, or a family occasion 10/10
Would definitely NOT recommend as meal was poor and staff/management are NOT interested. We booked a table on Sunday 23 October 2022 for my 35th wedding anniversary as we had not been there for a long time and knew it had been really good in the past. I had the Sunday roast but some of it was hot and some was slightly warm and there was what looked like congealed gravy on my plate which was very off putting. My husband had fish and chips but it was just average and the batter wasn't crisp. Neither of us finished our meals. I reported this to the waitress and she asked me for contact details, which I left, as there was nobody there that could deal with the complaint. She said that somebody would contact me but it is now 9 November 2022 and I have not heard from anyone. I got the impression that I was being fobbed off and since nobody has contacted me, I know now that I was right to feel that way. All in all, not a pleasant dining experience. I did not understand why there was nobody there to deal with my complaint and my daughter has worked in hospitality for over 10 years and she also did not understand why there was no supervisor or manager there to deal with my complaint at that time.…
I booked this hotel back in March as we were I booked this hotel back in March as we were attending a 60th school reunion function in the cricket club down the road. Alarm bells should have rung when I made two phone calls and an email to get confirmation of my booking. No confirmation was ever received, There are two sides to this hotel: downstairs the bar is smart and the function rooms are excellent at the time a wedding was going on all looked great. Going upstairs Our room had WiFi, tv and a comfortable, clean bed it had reading lights over the bed and some new decor, a walk in shower room with toilet only let down in the shower by hair on the wall tiles that hadn’t been cleaned off, Above the bathroom door a service hatch door that was hanging off, held on by one hinge, then when you looked around the rest of the room, it left a lot to be desired, for a £120 room which was mediocre at best, No wardrobe, just a slim unit with a couple of coat hangers for clothes. Single glazed sash windows which made the room very noisy when staff were emptying bottles out the back of the building and you could hear everything going on below the room the noise was appalling, there was a function on, so didn't expect to get a good night's sleep, as the function went on late into the night. going on till 12.30am. Most of the noise was from the bar and the kitchen area, Oh almost forgot about some person with a guitar singing badly. I went onto their fb page and was shocked to read that they stated all the rooms were filling up quickly the truth being is that only one other person (who also was going to the school reunion) was staying totaling three people in all, (two rooms). went down for breakfast this morning OMG I’ve had better at a motorway café, didn’t get much of a choice of what you could order, a so called breakfast turned up and that is what you had. It's very clear to see that this hotel is not really concerned about the guest accommodation side of the business and concentrates all its efforts on the function side. On the drive home we asked ourselves Price? £120 very over priced for what you get. Would we stay again? Definitely not in its present set up. Would we recommend it for a function? yes definitely. A good location and a lovely building, great function room but badly let down on the guest accommodation side that needs a lot of attention. This could be a good part of the business if the effort was made.…
Wonderful setting, friendly staff and gorgeous food. Couldn't ask for anything better. Lovely sunny beer garden with plenty of space and big tables in a green garden area. I had the chicken enchilada with no jalapenos and cour cream, extra cheese and it was heavenly. Full of chicken, taste and the chips were amazing. My boyfriend had the chicken goujons and thoroughly enjoyed them; they looked incredible! The staff were so friendly and it was a pleasure to be there. Drinks were beautiful as well. A really hidden gem in Coatbridge. I'll be back and no mistake.
Daughter booked for Mother’s Day but had to cancel because of mother getting covid lost her full deposit of £60 no refund or chance to re book . I feel this was totally unfair especially in this climate of high prices and family’s struggling with inflation
What can i say, to the Management team well done,to you all the food, service and even entertainment on a Friday evening. Steak pie made in heaven. And a special shout out to Hannah, such a lovely young lady, and looked after us all in attendance, she deserves a wage rise for certain..thank you our new place to go
Great service and food. Staff very attentive. Good choice with specials also. Sat in dinning room as bar was full. Really nice decor and cosy with the real fire. I has squid and was cooked really well. Husband had steak pie which smelt amazing!
Great lunch today, we were staying at a local B&B and this was recommended to us. The starters were both from the specials menu, salt & chilli squid and scallops. Both equally amazing and light enough for a lunch starter. I then had the daily special lasagne and it was so good. Meaty and cheesy just as I like it! My husband really enjoyed the steak pie and said the veg was tasty. The food and plates were piping hot. For dessert the chef/our server sorted us a bespoke dessert with some twists of one on the menu and it was to die for!!! Great ambience Great service Staff were so attentive and friendly and nothing was a problem even our off menu dessert. The clientele were really friendly and enjoyed chatting to them too Thanks so much, one of the highlights of our weekend
We had eighteen people in for a meal to celebrate my Aunt and Uncle's Diamond wedding. The management and staff pulled out all the stops for it and made it extra special. The dining hall was stunning and the meal was just fantastic. The staff just could not do enough for us, fantastic service with good timing between courses. My Aunt and Uncle have not stopped talking about their experience. Well done everyone at The Georgian.
Absalutely outstanding food and service! This hotel is a gem in coatbridge. The staff could not be more friendly and attentive and i would highly recommend this place to anyone , I will most definitely return
