Stayed in a room just above the kitchen, was told the kitchen extract fan would be turn off. But the refrigerator heat exchanger fan could not be turn off, the manager said that he would move the refrigerator away from the wall, this didn’t change the fact that the fan was only 4 feet from my head when in the...

The Lyncombe Lodge Hotel is a great hotel if you want to get away from it all, with its great location tucked away in the hills, with great customer service, excellent food, and a good size bedroom. We have just had a lovely weekend here in Somerset, and with its lovely balcony in room 4, you cannot find better.

Lovely hotel situated in a very quiet place.very helpful and pleasant staff.food very good, especially breakfast, room very comfortable, bathroom good shower could be better, but that is only negative I can give. The views are beautiful, there is a practice ski slope right next door. Cheddar Gorge, clevedon ,Weston super mare, and Bristol all close by.

Sometimes the location outshines the hotel itself as it does at Lyncombe Lodge, its setting is fabulous and there is plenty to do if you if walking interests you. The hotel itself is good if a little jaded, but the double room was clean and tidy if a little small. With regard to food we only had breakfast which was...

The husband and I stayed here after buying from a deals website, which included tickets to Cheddar Gorge. Check in was quick and easy. The room is an average size, but the bathroom could do with a bit of an update. Wifi was available in the room on our first night, however on the morning of the second day, there...

Very quiet hotel with a nice restaurant for evening meals. Think there were other places to eat but nowhere in the immediate vicinity so nice to be able to walk downstairs and have a proper meal. The room had a hairdryer which was handy and tea/biscuits were replenished daily. Full control over radiators in room which was good as was...

Friends' daughter had her wedding reception here and it is a whacky place. The photos were taken in the garden and the dry ski slope has a bend right next to the garden - skiers shouting congratulations as they whizzed passed! There is a very steep drive to the carpark - beware! The service was superb and the food was...

This is a quiet country retreat, about a third of a mile from the nearest road. If you open your bedroom window, you hear birdsong. People who love city breaks might not like it here, but if you value tranquility, well mannered staff and beautiful unspoilt countryside then give this place a go. Dinner - home made blue cheese and...

Plus side: Excellent breakfast and service. Clean bed linen. We stayed in on of the chalets., which looked like in bad need of refurbishment. there was a large crack in the ceiling. The room smelled musty and in the wardrobe was evidence of dampness. The walls are not sound proof and you can hear people cough, noise of the shower...
