This establishment is now under new management, nothing has changed thankfully. The bar and food are excellent. The chef has been retained, so the food is as good as it has always been. Friendly staff added to an enjoyable night.

I used to meet a friend here and always loved it. This time the food was a disappointment - unimaginative. The new owners tried to keep the menu upmarket but clearly didn't have the skill or style. The atmosphere was not cosy or inviting.

Delicious food. I had chicken breast stuffed with sun dried tomatoes on a risotto and my wife had the pork belly, Both meals were delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Stayed here for 2 nights early October. David and the staff were very welcoming. This is not a large place but is bursting with character and over 200 years old in parts. The food was gorgeous and we ate in both evenings. Well recommended. Breakfast on both days again was excellent. Make sure you decide if you want the 4...

We visited as a couple with a young family. Eat in the bar area which was busy for early January. We were pleased with the varied menu. The food was good and good serving portions. The staff are really friendly and helpful which we were very grateful.

Chose The Lamb as convenient half way meet with relatives for lunch. Good welcome and most enjoyable meal for all four of us. The rabbit croquet starter was very good and they obviously specialise with pies, particularly the Lamb and apricot that 2 of us had.

Just back from a 2 night stay with some friends . The rooms were a good size , nicely decorated ( each has a theme ) with white bedding and fluffy white towels. The inn is very old and sometimes these places can be draughty, but the Lamb has plenty of heating and this can of course be turned down...

Booked a triple family room on hotels.com for 2 nights at £95 per night (advertised with a double and single bed) Upon arrival were shown a double room with no single bed. Misha on reception was very helpful and apologetic and promptly arranged for a camp bed to be added to the room! We explained this wasn't why we booked...

We stayed for two nights. Cosy inn, very comfortable room (Roman road) with beautiful surroundings. Burford is nearby which is a must see with plenty of restaurants and quaint shops. The service was great. Breakfast was lovely. The fish and chips were the best I have had! Would highly recommend the Lamb Inn.
