I always enjoy staying in the Huerta Honda. It is comfortable, quiet and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I usually choose the superior rooms which are rustic in appearance and the four poster bed is very romantic, ideal for a couple. Rooms have their own AC/Heating The bathroom is enormous and the water pressure is fierce.

Contrary to the comments of our travel guide we did not like this Hotel. Rooms were new, but poorly designed. The shower floor slippery and the showers were VERY hot (if you switched to cold there was almost no water!) The pool area was extremely dirty, nobody cleaned the floor for days, there was even a dead pigeon on the...

Although I only stayed for one night, on business, I would repeat the experience. A nice hotel with two outside terraces. One in the center of the building itself, one facing the main street. Tidy and comfortable.

Service good but food not as stated on menu. Ordered pork stuffed with cherries and got beef - not a cherry in sight! Waiter assured me it was cheek of pig and cherries in sauce. Neither my tastebuds nor my Spanish are that bad! Probably would not go again.

We picked up a special offer on the internet to stay here and it was really fine. The staff were very nice (except the breakfast waiter - which everyone says) - he needs a talking to by his manager. We took our little dog with us, so they gave us a room with a big terrace which was closed in...

Stayed at this delightful hotel which is situated next door to the Parador. Use for directions. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Our bedroom and bathroom were in typical Spanish style, the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom spotlessly clean. It's a good base for touring the area.

I stopped at this hotel on a bicycle trip along the 'ruta de la plata'. It was pouring rain (in December) and the hotel was the first I found entering into Zafra. The receptionist was polite and professional. The hotel was empty but she gave me a room where obviously the previous gust had smoked. ( It is a non-smoking...

Although is a very nice place, attention to detail is just not there. Not cheap for the service at all. The worst are the cleaners in the morning, from 8.30 onward it is imposible to sleep, the chat on your door, don't close the rooms when cleaning so you can clearly hear the hoover... It will be great to have...

Stayed for one A fantastic night’s stay in this charming hotel. Staff on reception were very helpful and friendly, (husband and wife team, perhaps?) and only too happy to help. The hotel itself is a great mix of old and new – not quite sure how to describe the building itself – except as a colonial greenhouse that has been...
