More than one month ago, through the Treixas website I did the reservation of a specific suite for one night! In the confirmation email I received was very little information about how to proceed as I wasnt even requested a crédit card number or havent seen any place the price of the room. In that way, I asked the price, how to pay and conditions about the spa. The answer was that i could pay on the day, the price of the spa, and that the cancellation period was until 7 days before and everything seemed scheduled. 2 days before the stay I contact informing arrival hours and they tell me that the room is no longer available, and due to high demands they have only one diferent suite available without AC and no parking slot for us. As if it were not enough they highlight the quick need of a credit card number to proceed. This is literally the worst 4* hôtel i’ve ever met. If you see other reviews it seems more or less frequent strange events with this people who make fun of hipothetic clients who want to visit a marvellous city and have a good Time.…
Found the service delightful and attentive. Rooms very comfortable and modern. Probably the best location in the area. Warning though, very tricky navigation of the narrow winding streets to get to it, unless you are a mountain goat. Worth it.
The hotel is beautiful - modern update within an old structure. Really great job on the design. That said, we ordered the duplex suits for 2 adults and one kid and were shocked to find out that at 35C the room had no air conditioning and the second floor, which was supposed to be a separate space for the kid, was unbearably hot and practically dangerous for anyone to stay up there for more than 5 minutes. Our attempts to find a solution and speak with the hotel folks encountered an apathetic attitude and no resolution or even an attempt to help out. Additionally, apparently the indoor pool needs to be booked in advance - to be used as part of the spa service. No one alerted us upon check in and we were told for two days straight that the spa/pool is fully booked throughout the day. Only later we found out that in fact, it wasn't. ,and that the employees closed the doors of the hotel and put a sign on saying "closed for employees rest". A couple of more items to point out - none of the receptionists spoke English. Check in closed at 11pm.…
If you appreciate design and a lift of spirit, this place will stimulate your creative side. Aside from that, the beds are extremely comfortable, the service is excellent, and the fun little bar will get you into the party zone - even if it's just you and your significant other. We recommend the Otoño room. The bathroom was well laid out with a separate wet area and sliding doors to keep pesky steam out of the vanity. Highly recommended!
This recently opened, small boutique hotel is a gem of a stopover stay en route to or from Galicia or northern Portugal. Sanabria is a model of a medieval hilltop town with narrow paved alleys and impossibly cute stone houses, and the hotel is bang in the middle of the action. The interior design is by a well known Spanish architect and really works in the location. Beds and bedrooms are large and comfortable, bathrooms are ensuite. Perhaps surprisingly the catering isn't quite up to the same standard; there are better places to dine in town a few yards away, and breakfast choice is very limited, though bizarrely we were offered eggs and jamon as an afterthought after we had worked our way through croissant, toast and tomato: the scrambled egg turned out to be fantastic as did the spanish ham, some of the best we've ever tasted! Yet there is no yogurt to be had, nor fresh orange juice. So enjoy a fabulous interior and location, forgive a little street noise at night from passing revellers (the windows are double glazed but there is no air conditioning), take time to see this cutest of ancient settlements, and manage your breakfast expectations. With all that in mind, worth five stars in a region where there will be little to match it.…
"Rooms 3 and 4 have quaint balconies. Rooms are not connecting but all are close, so no problem for confident child travellers."Read full review
