I am generally put off by National Park Lodging, but we had a great time at Far View. Room was small, but clean. Retro, 50's style. Great view off the small deck. And we had an excellent dinner to boot (one of our best or our trip) at the restaurant.

Stayed one night at Far View, in a "Kiva" room, the better version. Not much special about the room, although the furniture was suitably rustic and the bed very comfortable. Location is the attraction here, in the park and with wonderful views, as the name suggests. The lodge is not one building, but, perhaps, ten, all single-story motel-like rows, carefully...

we just got back from mesa verde far view in park motel. i would give this place no better than average ratings at best, since convenience is the only advantage to staying in the park. there was a floor to ceiling crack in our picture window. it is a 25 plus mile drive to the nearby town of Cortez, Colorado....

I stayed here for practical reasons of efficiently visiting the park for one day as part of a larger loop of major sites over the 4 corners area. Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. It was better than reviews I read or from other remote seasonal or historic wilderness hotels that I have experienced before. Had a kiva room with...

We seldom stay in national park lodges but decided to splurge this time as we wanted to experience Mesa Verde without the hassle of the long drive in and out. We were very pleased with our decision. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony. The water was hot, the towels almost plush, and plenty of drawer and shelf...

Can't find a better location - 15 miles inside the Mesa Verde Park. Room was nice - with a balcony overlooking the nearby valley. Room and bathroom were clean, a little small. There was nowhere to hang clothes! That's my only negative comment. The restaurant at the Lodge was very good.

We have spent 3 nights in a Kiva Room and here are the take-aways. 1. The interior of the room is nice. Plenty of space, clean, plenty of hot water, a small frig and a wonderful view of miles of range land. For some odd reason, our king-sized bed had a sheet metal headboard which made a strange metallic popping...

If you don't expect a glamorous room it is all perfect. The price is great and acknowledges that the rooms are older. Clean, comfortable, but something from the 60s which may be when they were built. We had a great view, the food was amazing and the park is not to be missed. The lodge is extremely convenient. So that...

We're back for our 4th or 5th visit to Far View Lodge. The upgraded Kiva rooms are really nice - great bed! The view from the bar is stunning, as is the view from the dining room. If you plan to visit Mesa Verde, stay at the lodge. I can't recommend it enough. As always, leave your munchies in your...

Our room was upgraded as we'd stayed there before. However, quite a cold room - unsurprising as there was considerable daylight visible between the door and jamb. Rooms motelish like and asking for a refurbishment. On arrival there was a power cut due to the snowy weather. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Dinners very nice - not the least...
