From the moment we knocked on the gate of Costa Tropical Oasis and met Patrick our host with his gorgeous sidekicks Hector and Boris we knew we had chosen the perfect place to stay. We stayed in the comfortable and quirky casa pequena, with its lovely roof terrace, perfect for both breakfast and evening gin and tonics to watch the sun go down. The cottage is well equipped and Patrick provided a wonderful welcome pack, providing much more than the usual essentials. The gardens are absolutely stunning with nooks and crannies all over to sit, in both shade or in the sun. There is a pool at the end of the garden with a summer kitchen for guests use, Costa Tropical Oasis is dog friendly and our dog loved having free reign of the secure garden. The beach is about 1.5km walk by the side of an old river bed which is a nice dog walk otherwise a car is required for this property.

We had an amazing stay in Casita Pequeña. Patrick was super helpful, flexible and kind. The place feels like a truly a oasis with a lot of diverse plants, a nice pool and many spots where you can relax and feel the nature.
We had a bbq and two private terraces beside the equipped kitchen, the livingroom, the bedroom and the bathroom.
If you are looking a place to chill out and stay near the beach, this is it!
Thank you Patrick for a wonderful weekend!

A well found gem. Not so very often found. Very private, and yet accessible to all amenities.
The garden is a credit to Patrick the host. Natural, mature and a hidden secret at almost every turn.
Patricks welcoming of dogs was beyond expectations, he had two himself, Boris and Hector. Most friendly and happily got along with our two. Able to leave them with the free run of the garden, in safe hands was something we did not expect.
We stayed in the apt, which I found idyllic. A lovely private terrace, and a sun roof.
Everything you could need was readily available, complete with water & beers! There was too, a casa pequena. (Small house)
This lovely break would be my reason for returning to Southern Spain.
Well done Patrick for allowing us to sample your home, and the pleasure of our evenings chats & drinks we had. Take care.

Loved it, we even picked avocado's, lemons and limes from the trees. Boris and Hector (the dogs) are super friendly and it's wonderful to have a bbq up by the pool. The beach is approximately 30 mins walk if walking down and there are 5 busses a day to and from town (takes around 10 mins).

We booked El apartemento a year in advance and at that time we 'only' had 3 dogs. By the time we went, we had 5 and we were still welcome:-) the dogs can run freely in the completly fenced/walled garden. The distance to the sea is 5 minutes by car. You do need a car to get around! Patrick is very welcoming and helpful. Very good value for your money. It was the second time I stayed there and would always go back! Ideally for dog owners!!

We came to recce before a longer stay later in the winter. Exactly as we ordered! Mega dog friendly accommodation which would be hard to find anywhere else. Beautifu gardens for wandering, lovely roof terraces for chilling. Peaceful and laid back. Patrick is a mine of information about the area and will be as available as you wish or not. We are very excited about returning with our dogs for a long stay. If you have dogs and want to experience real working town Spain with plentiful options for trips out and about then book now!

We spent 3 nights in Casita Pequeña and it was absolutely wonderful. Patrick, the owner, is a really charming man and he was super attentive to us and our dog. It is an amazing place to spend a few days and relax from your daily routines. It is 10 minutes away from the center of Motril (by car). Surrounded by lots of supermarkets and restaurants, but also a little separated from the city, it was the perfect place for us to go. We could not be happier with our stay and with the whole place.
And yes, we will come back for sure! :)

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like a beautiful established garden and you like dogs. Hector and Boris are both on site and good neighbours.!! This place has everything for the rural loving person as well as good internet and British television. So many shady places to sit in the hot sun, just knock the leaves off the cushion turn it over and sit among the trees and flowers and enjoy the peace. Patrick is a wonderful host so friendly and knowledgeable about all the plants. Where else would you find such peace, a swimming pool and a barbeque for such a reasonable price.

I cannot rate the Costa Tropical Oasis highly enough!
We stayed in the casita, the small house, and I completely fell in love with its quirky layout, with a spiral staircase going from the ground floor kitchen to the lounge upstairs!
We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the wonderful host, Patrick, even left a welcome pack, so we didn't have to run to the shop straight away. An absolute blessing tbh, as we needed a sit down and a glass of wine by that point!
The gardens are absolutely stunning, and if you're interested (which I was) Patrick is happy to tell you about the different plants he has collected ver the years. He's very knowledgeable about them!
You'll probably be joined by Boris or Hector, the two resident dogs, while exploring. They're are incredibly friendly, beautiful dogs! It's impossible to resist giving them a few good scritches behind the ears!
Unfortunately it was still a bit too cold to get in the pool for me, but I can't say I wasn't tempted!
It's just out of the way enough that it's peaceful and quiet, but also so close to the beach that you can walk there in 25mins down a country track by a dry riverbed, and town is really close by and gets quite lively at night!
