We have spent a lovely week staying at the Hostal Altamer in the old town of Almunecar. The owner and staff have all be so friendly, the hostal is 24hr access which is fantastic, the room is cleaned daily to a very good standard. Their is a lovely little cafe/breakfast bar which does traditional breakfast at a very good price...

A very well kept hostal, cosy, clean and very charming. The service was excellent, very clean and friendly. There is a small cafe in the hostal which has a very interesting design and decoration and serves breakfast and snacks, which is useful. Its very central and close to the beach and set in an old spanish style narrow side street....

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of September, we were firstly attracted to Hostal Altamar because of its location in the old town. We were very happy with our choice. The rooms were lovely and clean, the owners / staff very friendly and helpful. The hostal is very close to the beach and also the numerous bars and...

It was ideally situated to walk where ever we wanted to go. The room was clean with private bath. We didn't have any issues with noise and were very satisfied. The only down side to the room was it was advertised as having wifi in the room and we couldn't get reception. It was great in the common area but...

I have spent 2 weeks there, together with my 12 years son and were both delighted. It is a hostel, not a 5* hotel, let us keep that in mind ;-). The hosts, Cecile and Ignacio, and their staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed their friendliness and recommendations. Hostal Altamar is located at 200 m from the...

Just returned from a week at Hostal Altamar and can honestly say it was a delight to stay there. My room was a huge double with Air Con on demand,TV (not that I watched it)and had a full bathroom and was spotlessly clean as were the communal areas of the property. The couple that run it are interesting and helpful...

Groups of young people in the rooms drinking all night and very noisy ,loud and bad language. shower head dropped off first night hence no shower, left after second night after nothing was done about the noise. But luckily Booking.com...

I stayed here 2 nights in a double/twin room. It was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is on a quiet street a few minutes walk from the main beach. I always felt welcome and the place was quiet. Breakfast etc was offered but I chose to eat in the town as there was...

This was a lovely hostel to stay in. I happened to be passing through and found great value for money and service in this place. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and better than what you'd expect for the price! There were a good selection of drinks and snacks available in the hostel and it...
