We visited Philip and his staff for a few days of hiking and I am glad to say that things were as relaxed as before. We got s room on the river side of the building and it was clean and comfortable. I think that you get the most out of staying here by remembering that they may not offer...

Traveling solo, I was met at the Ronda bus station by my host, Philip. He is amiable, helpful and expertly knowledgeable about the area. I was delighted at the setting and the hotel itself, a converted mill beside the fast-flowing Guadiaro. My room was prepared with comfortable clean bed, great bathroom and charmingly appointed with rustic oak furnishings. A satisfying...

We got off to a bad start here. After a nearly two hour drive we got checked in and shown to our room. We were given a very very brief introduction to the hotel. First thing - put the kettle on...only to find it was half full of brown stagnant water which had obviously been sat there all summer long....

The room was clean and the bed comfortable but generally the facilities were shabby; the complimentary refreshments were not topped up; some of the facilities ie by the pool were very poor (although the pool itself was generally clean) - rubbish on the steps leading up to the pool was there for our whole stay, the cushions for the sunbeds...

Had 1 night here while travelling and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The place is in dire need of upgrading and an injection of money. I am not a fussy traveller that needs all the mod cons and you can see this was a stunning hotel at one time but I feel the owner is struggling single handed to keep...

Have been here twice now and both times have had a great time. The whole atmosphere is very relaxed and chilled and perfect if you're wanting to get away from everything for a couple days. The rooms are really nice, with comfortable beds and old oak furnishings and new bathrooms. Both the double rooms and superior rooms are recommended. The...

Booked this "hotel" as it was just outside Ronda in the Pueblos Blancos region of Andalucia. It has only 2 stars but favourable reviews. It turned out to be the most expensive hotel for our 3 week trip and by some margin the worst. On our arrival the owner told us that he had upgraded our room to a "suite"....

I stayed here as I was attending a wedding nearby. Loved this hotel, the room was clean, cool, very comfortable and beautiful. The location is breathtaking with the pool area looking out onto the mountains. Furthermore the owners were super helpful giving us tips about the nearby area and let us leave our things in a secure place after checkout...

I was recommended to try the restaurant at this lovely hotel last Sunday, by a couple we met when arriving at a rented villa last week. Well, we were first taken back by the beautiful dining area outside the restaurant, and then went through to have drinks up by the mountain river before we ate. The owner,a charming English lady,...

Enjoyed our stay. A great location next to the river. Rooms comfortable and loved the terrace for drinks and meals. and nothing too much trouble for owner and staff. Susan happily dealt with us arriving early and arranged provisions for our early departure. Phillip gave us a lot of time to talk through walking options .
