The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was serviced everyday. Bedding included locally made wool blankets. Teresa, the owner of the hotel, was very friendly and helpful and got up very early to say goodbye when we left. If you want somewhere right in the middle of Grazalema, this is the answer. Free parking across the road. Several restaurants;...

For seven days, we felt like you were at home. You and your friends have always given a smile. The weather was sometimes bad, but that not make you stop doing routes. You have enjoyed moments of chit-chat in the living room and even followed the Olympic Winter Games Games. We will miss your teapot and your company. Until your...

Good value, comfortable beds, lovely, warm Grazalema blankets, pleasant decor, plenty storage space and a writing desk. Teresa is friendly and very helpful. Front window does not seal properly but the street is quiet overnight.

Very friendly group able to enjoy Grazalema and its environment. The window has a close runner system which had loosened, but closed properly. There is no danger from the street because there is a double paned window, blinds and grills. The spring season has started, which is as nice as the autumn season for hiking. We await your visit some...

I walked in, had a look and booked. My room had an excellent shower and was at the front. This could be a problem if you want the window open for air, as the wall across the road was a favourite place for locals to sit and chat until the small hours- long after the clock bell had stopped! However...

Gillian Mary, thank you for your visit and good critic. You had come with a big picture of an old Grazalema as a reference to look for this village. As you can prove, the entrance continue in the same conditions, the horseman and his mule miss. This village had made a big effort to keep the typical architecture of the...

A small group of us stayed at this hotel May 18th for one week and were all very pleased with the welcome, cleanliness and facilities. Theresa, who manages the hotel, was wonderful and had a good sense of humour. If you want somewhere right in the middle of Grazalema, this is the answer.

We booked late, and arrived quite late, and were glad of the efficient check in after a long day walking. Lashings of hot water in a big, spotless bathroom and suggestions for somewhere for supper, a comfortable bed and all at a reasonable 56€. Parking, at least in April, in public car park opposite. Really good value smack in the...

Grazalema is a wonderful little village in the Andalucian mountains and a great base for hiking or day trips to other attractions such as Ronda and the other "pueblos blancos" or white towns. The Hotel Penon Grande is located right in the center of the village with convenient free parking just across the street in a town parking lot (the...

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for two nights about a month ago while on a bicycling trip. The inn keeper was very nice and accommodating, including helping us store the bicycles in a safe and secure room off the lobby. The place was well priced compared to the competition with a price of 55 euros per night....

Luckily we managed to find a carpark right opposite the hotel - as it was Sunday & the place was full of day trippers. Hotel was fine - our room upstairs had a double bed & looked out over the church opposite (note - only downside was the bell rang the time until midnight...) Can't complain about anything re the...

Penon Grande is a nice little hotel in Grazalema. While riding on a motorbike with a group of friends we came into Grazalema and looked for a small cheap and clean hotel. Penon Grande has only two stars, but it fit the bill. The reception was manned by the lady who owns the place and she was very nice. The...

I needed somewhere to stay for the night in Grazalema. I emailed the hotel and booked a single room for 38 euros (without breakfast). The room was very dark, with poor lighting, and had a double bed pushed against the wall on one side. The bathroom was OK. The receptionist was friendly. The hotel is very well situated near the...
