My wife and I stayed two nights at The Charleston House while traveling in NE. First, the location in the beautiful town of Woodstock is perfect. And innkeepers Dixi and Willa are delightful. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and great conversation around the table both mornings. The room was a bit small, but served our needs. We would definitely return!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Woodstock. Located in the center, just an easy walk from the restaurants and shops. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with nice private baths, and the breakfasts are large and delicious. If you are a light sleeper, request a room in the back, away from the Rt. 4 traffic.

My wife and I recently visited Woodstock for a weekend to enjoy the local hiking and scenery. Dieter and Willa Nohl were absolutely wonderful hosts! The bedroom was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. I would return without hesitation! The very short walking distance to town and easy parking (in the rear lot) is also a plus. Overall,...

Stayed at Charleston House for one night in the first floor Antiques Room. The innkeepers are wonderfully friendly and helpful. They made dinner reservations for us and chatted about the area. They also serve a delicious breakfast. The room was tidy and comfortable with a little noise from parking lot/road but not too bad. The rooms don't have keys so...

It's about the owners. Yes, the house is lovely, the rooms are well appointed, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The breakfast - divine. But it's the owners that make this a special place, because they are special people. I messed up my reservation and instead of making me feel bad about it, Willa went out of her way to fix everything...

What a splendid find! The Charleston House is a beautiful B&B in the heart of a beautiful Vermont town. Willa and Dixi are the most gracious hosts. The room was immaculate and the beds in the Good Friends room were quite comfortable. Breakfast was magical - you had to select a seating time: we were offered 8:30 or 9:30 am...

Innkeepers are great. Location is just at the end of the main street and we easily walked to all the downtown stores. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was truly delicious, not to be missed. Parking is off street and this is quite convenient in a very busy downtown area. Our room, the Hillary Underwood, is the least expensive probably because the...
