I chose Camves because of the nice presentation they have on Booking.com. The moment you arrived in the reception you can feel the staffy air, it smells like an old and dirty kitchen. The rooms are nothing like in the photos, apart from the view we had from our room, the rest was disapointing. The walls are that thin that i could hear our neighbours talk as if we were sharing the room. The water in the shower was barely warm, we couldn not have a hot shower. The toilet was not properly cleaned and the shower area did not make me feel comfortable while having a shower. The towels had a strange smell, but, I always carry towels with me. They have SPA facilties (closed now due to Covid19) but there are not bath robes or flipflops in the room. The breakfast was poor, apart from the coffee that was nice, the food was not great, at least our choice. According to their menu, you can choose from 4 different predefined meals. If you are a vegetarian you can have milk and cereals. I asked them to remove the meat from some other dish, which they did. I had eggs.. extremely well done eggs :( It's location is not great either, located on the main street with intense traffic, but on the other hand it is easy to reach. Won't come back for sure.

A beautiful place where you can rest and enjoy every day the healthy fresh salted or sweet water, in the swimming pool. The food was very tasty. Here is quiet and you will sleep very well. We are very pleased and we will gladly return to this location .

As far as my experience with Camvess Inn went, I have nothing to complain. I stayed there overnight with my girlfriend. We arrived in the early afternoon and there were no problems in the reception (we booked throughout an Online Travel Agency). We got out room, exactly what it was stated within the offer we received. The rooms were clean, with AC, although the view was not the best (there were better rooms, we were just trying to be cheap). We went to the pool as well, which were very nice. The normal water one is big enough to offer people the possibility to swim a bit, you can sunbath outside. They also had a salty water pool, although it was a bit small and can get crowded on a full season day. We asked for food recommendation within the city and the staff was helpful, recommending us where to go even though there was a restaurant at the place. When we came back, we enjoyed the night on the terrace. Even though it was OVER the restaurant closing time, they were fine with serving us, polite and responsive. In the morning, we ate breakfast which was decent. Coffee was not that awesome, but it did the job. Overall, we had a very pleasant night and we really enjoyed the place. Recommended by us for overnight stays or short holidays.

We stayed here for one night only, but it would have been OK for more than that. The room was warm and cozy, and we had a good night's sleep. The only down side I can think of is that the bed was bit squeaky, but since we were very tired (we got there after a 10hrs drive, around 10PM), all we wanted to do is take a shower and sleep. The hosts were kind enough to wait for us and serve us dinner (they have a nice menu, but since it was very late we didn't want to impose and went for whatever was faster and easier for them to cook, i.e. some soup and some grilled meat with fries). They were very polite and eager to help, and so was the cook, whom we met the next morning, at breakfast. They get 2 thumbs up from us. They have a swimming pool as well, but we didn't have the chance to see it, as we arrived late in the evening and left quite early the next day. It's a place we would definitely recommend and visit again, should the opportunity present itself.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night during a trip to Maramures. It is located on the main road, 5 km away from the town of Sighetu Marmatiei. The twin room was ok, comfortable for a 1-night stay. The outside dining / breakfast area, as well as playgrounds for children are located on the side with the street and the parking, which makes is not so pleasant to sit outside. There is quite a big back yard, but without places to sit. There are indoor and outdoors pools which we have not tried. The dissapointing excperience was with the meals. In the evening we placed an order for very simple food for which we had to wait for more than one hour. When we inquired about the food, we were told that other people had ordered before us. Next day at breakfast (a la carte), nobody would come to take an order until we asked at the reception few times. There seems to be no connection between the fact that if you own a restaurant, you also need to give service. In all fairness, the waitress who eventually served us both at dinner and at breakfast was very nice and smiling, and tried to make up for the long waiting time. I would not recommend for a long stay, as the area and the premises are not representative for Maramures, but it is ok for a stop over during a road trip.

I went with my family and a few friends for 5 days. Maramures its a beautiful place but i preffer moldavian places and moldavian people....the owners were ok but i am used with wormer people....the food was ok but for the money we pay it wasnt good enough....the surprises for adults were nice but the Santa :( the children recognised the man owner :)))) i think for weddings and other smaller parties the location is ok, but for such a long period and a large group they must learn to be more kinder. i booked all rooms with my family and my frieds for a vacation for christmas with maramures, sighetu marmației. it is a place în industrial area... the total absence of specific traditions, hospitality, christmas at the fridges with sodas under key, breakfast served, on the basis of personal food instance from lidl and penny, christmas wine from home! , without traditional christmas and prices all inclusive of bucovina! the internet's very weak. positive aspects: near Sapanta, accommodation, swimming pool, horinca, carol singers. in conclusion, a hotel accommodation as the railway station, you pay, you get. i do not recommend to tourists who love maramures, habits, traditions, culinary travel. it's just another bargain with european funds, devoid of soul, warmth and hospitality. only in money matters...

Response from StetMaria, Owner at Camves Inn
Responded 3 Jan 2017
I totally agree with Mr. Voroneanu, it was a trick to receive his group and try to treat them in the best way possible. 1. They reserved 70% of the location, not 100% and we agreed before on a halfboard sejour. Unfortunately, they were not that respectful towards the other 30% of the guests to who we offered the same services and were very happy. They had the attitude like they own the whole place. 2. At dinner we tried to offer them the best and most traditional food we have in our Maramures cusine. At lunch, as they did not want to take the all inclusive package, of course we could not provide free lunch and drinks. 3.Besides what they had included in the package we wanted to make them more surprises and bring singers from the area to sing live traditional music, a group of youngters to to sing christmas carols just for them and another traditional group acting the nativity scene. Moreover, considering that they had many children we also made sure Santa Claus comes in person to the location for them and also made presents for each one of them. 4. Even if initially the package they agreed to buy included a certain payment to be made for the for the children, we decided to make them another surprise and not count the kids when the payment is done. Considering that they had many children it was an important discount 5. At the table there were 2 adults more than the package paid but we did not say anything. 6. Most of the times the Voroneanu Liliana was quite rude to us and always giving us order but even with that, we always treat her well and with a large smile and solved all her request. Considering their review after trying our best to make them an unforgetable Christmas and offer them much more than what we agreed initially, I have to reitarate that I agree it was a trick to treat Voroneanu so well and with so many beautiful surprises. Mrs. and Mr. Voroneanu next time you go somewhere please be more considerate to the people that try that best to offer you unforgetable moments and quality services and to the other clients that share the same location with you.

We stayed for one night in this hotel. The room we had was really huge, also the bathroom. We weren't sure if we're gonna sleep in the night because our room was facing the road, but however, in the night we didn't hear any disturbing noise. The place also has a pool, which we didn't try. The restaurant is really fine, we ate well there, and the prices are not high.
