Thanks for making our wedding special and complete with every detail covered and well-managed so that we could just enjoy our wedding and our guests. Beautiful venue, great service, and exceptional professionalism by you and your staff. We know there was a lot of work behind the scenes that was totally invisible to us that made everything come off flawlessly.... More

I can only echo what everyone else has said. This place is beautiful, remarkably clean and peaceful. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. The extra touches made you feel really pampered. The owners were so kind and friendly.

This was a great experience. Martin and Paula couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The Carriage House was lovely and a perfect place for our delicious breakfasts! The mansion and the grounds are beautiful - I can certainly see what a grand wedding venue this would be!

We were given a livingsocial deal for Xmas from our family so this was great for us. We are from Northern VA so this was a little staycation'ish for us. The grounds are beautiful and the buildings have had great decor. We stayed in the Gardeners Cottage so it was neat to have a whole 2.5 story place to ourselves.... More

Great place for a romanic getaway. Rooms are incredible with separate seating area so you feel like home. The hosts were incredibly friendly and were available for whatever questions we had. They also offered personal touches like complimentary bottles of water in our refrigerator along with a bottle of wine and some cheese for evening snacking.

My fiancé and I found this charming place online and decided to check it out as an option for our upcoming wedding in July. We went and checked it out and wow do they think of everything for a wedding! We decided to stay a night to try it out and stayed in the Carriage House. When we arrived, it... More

The hosts of this B&B were really wonderful to us (Definitely among the nicest people I have ever met) and went out of their way to make sure that our stay in Richmond was perfect. I was with a friend and we each had our own room in the Jefferson suite. I loved having my breakfast in the room; it... More

We stayed here for our 1 year anniversary. We absolutely loved it, so charming and cozy. The hostess had a hard time with the lock on the door and we could not get in. She brought us a complimentary bottle of wine and 2 glasses for us while we waited. She was very apologetic but we didnt mind. Things happen.... More

My children gave my husband and me a two day stay at the Mansion. I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and didn't know what to expect. Our suite, (the Washington suite), was very cozy. It had all the comforts of home, a beautiful bathroom, large comfy bed, small living area. Our hosts Paula and Martin made... More

The owners of this B&B really have thought about things that are welcome surprises to travelers. Nice comfortable beds and spacious rooms, of course, but also little snacks and cold water, DVDs to take back to your room, freshly baked cookies, gourmet sit down breakfasts, a full-size coffee pot with plenty of coffee in your room, even a garment steamer!... “The Carriage House was romantic and cozy. The only negative is that it is closest to the road, which is a bit loud during early evening and during the day. It gets quiet at night.”

“The Jefferson Suite is very spacious...has 2 rooms in it. The double shower is a must! The room has everything that you need and a few extras! Gets a little chilly at night....the room is adjacent to the lobby, so you do hear some talking at times, but wasn't an issue at all.”
