BLUF (bottom line up front): The hotel is undergoing renovations which impact operations and I was disappointed with the numerous issues that arose. The good: I had a pleasant checkout experience where the clerk quickly reversed erroneous breakfast charges. Needs improvement: Staff was unfamiliar with their own corporate rewards program. I am a gold member, courtesy of a nice status matching program. When I tried to check in one hour early, the staff was going to charge me extra until I informed them that was a gold benefit. They also were not going to honor the complimentary breakfast and were unfamiliar with the "gift" for gold members. A manager ultimately offered a "hot" breakfast option as the gift. Breakfast was offered from a temporary "cart" which was wheeled in the tiny check in area, as the regular lobby was closed for renovation. The water pressure was fairly weak for showers. The room was small and it was difficult to get out of the bed on the side which had about an 18 inch clearance. The bed was fairly soft and worn. The A/C unit was extremely loud on the one day that I needed A/C. There is not much within walking distance of the hotel. I checked out and confirmed which credit card the room was being billed to. After the charge did not show up, I had to contact the hotel and fill out a form to get the billing corrected, so this delayed my filing of my expense report. All in all a problem filled stay.

The bed was quite comfortable, the room was clean. Close to many restaurants. The staff was "interesting" I will leave it at that. Lobby has some snacks etc, no price listed for anything only dog treat had prices. Felt overcharged for purchases. Hotel states "dog friendly" this is only if they cannot bark, whine or whimper. Had friends staying at a hotel 8 minutes from here, we were unable to get reservations at this hotel due to availability. My dogs were more welcome at our friends hotel, than at the Sonesta, actually got a call from our hotel 5 minutes after leaving, had to bring them to our friends hotel where they were greeted by the hotel staff as if they were human. Would only stay here again as a last resort if traveling with my dogs.

We were visiting family in the area. We were disappointed to learn that breakfast was not included. We also had to pay $5 for parking. Why, we don’t know. It was there own lot like any other hotel off the highway.

This property is in poor condition. Hallways smell musty, doors and trim are dirty, keyed entry from at least two exterior doors is broken, this insecure. Aside from the nice retired man who comes in to do their “breakfast” (which isn’t included… not clear on the website), the staff was unfriendly. The pool isn’t operational. The exercise equipment is partially functional, but the room is small and the climate controls didn’t appear to be functional. Parking is charged at $5.00 a day even if you don’t have a car, which is hilarious since they have signs at every entrance warning you to take all valuables and lock your car due to thefts… but they’re not responsible in any case. My first and last stay in a Sonesta property. Do not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving. There was no housekeeping at all. We were told that because of worker shortage there would only be housekeeping once a week!!! We were there short of a week, so no housekeeping the entire time we were there. We had to make our own bed, no clean sheets, empty our own trash and couldn't get replacement towel one night because they said it was to late. We were not told about the no housekeeping when we check in. Sent a letter to the company asking for a partial refund, not a complete refund. Was told no because of COVID!!! I responded that COVID restrictions had been lifted and that there was no reason for no housekeeping and that according to the front desk it was because of staff shortage. And btw we could get housekeeping if we were willing to pay an additional fee!!! What????? So much for COVID concerns. So, if we had wanted housekeeping a service that comes with the room price, we had to pay extra money???? After several emails back and forth, it was decided that my request was denied, and I guess they believe that it was perfectly fine to charge full price, but not give full service. I don't think we should have gotten a full refund, but I do think no housekeeping for our entire stay should have resulted in a partial refund, since we paid full price for the full service.

Quick overnight stay. Easy check in, friendly staff. Room was comfortable. Little disappointed at the pool condition. All told, easy to get to, and worth the price tonight. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Hoping for a good nights sleep tonight.

Just so you know, hotel policy is to shut off ice machines at night. We didn’t know, as wanted to get ice for our coolers in the morning. I let the hotel clerks know first floor ice machine not working. The hotel clerk told me outright it was my fault, I didn’t ask for ice the night before. After waiting a moment, I told the outspoken clerk that we came in the back way last night. There was no hotel signs so we hoped we were going to our hotel, then when we saw the building we again didn’t see no name on hotel. We weren’t sure this was a hotel. There was a sign in parking lot to make sure nothing in vehicles visible. Later going out to get something to eat at local pub and get gas, I was told not to go out and fill coolers with ice as not safe for me. So I waited till morning…

This is why I try to stay at a Marriott. Booking- Booked three rooms for the night. Had to call repeatedly to correct them on the pricing. Asked for a AAA discount and they raised the price. Had to get an ‘override’ to correct it. Elevator is broken. The man said, ‘ Apparently the elevator broke yesterday.’ I doubt it. This was not disclosed to be at booking or at check in. The common ice machine on first floor was broken. The woman told me, ‘you need to pull the cover forward’. Got to see how dirty the ice machine was inside. Gross. They charged my credit card an additional $100 per night per room. Said they’d release it within a few days. No thank you.

Had an awful experience recently at this hotel. Staff are rude, unhelpful and have an attitude problem. I’ve never been treated and disrespected in a hotel as I was here. The room was cold and electrics in the room hanging off the wall unsafe as well. It was also noisy outside with a bus sat idling right outside for 30 mins at 5.30am with diesel fumes wafting via the ac into my room. I will never stay here again. Awful hotel.
