Quick overnight stay. Easy check in, friendly staff. Room was comfortable. Little disappointed at the pool condition. All told, easy to get to, and worth the price tonight. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Hoping for a good nights sleep tonight.
My teenage son and I stayed a night here while visiting UMass Lowell. The front desk staff were very very kind and friendly. We didn't know what to expect but as soon as we walked in, we knew we had made a good decision. Our room and bathroom were very clean and nice and the beds were really comfortable. The only thing is that the elevator needed some servicing because the doors kept popping open and closing before it got underway but for us, that was a very minor issue. We felt safe and comfortable and I would absolutely stay here again should I find myself in the Lowell area again.
Just so you know, hotel policy is to shut off ice machines at night. We didn’t know, as wanted to get ice for our coolers in the morning. I let the hotel clerks know first floor ice machine not working. The hotel clerk told me outright it was my fault, I didn’t ask for ice the night before. After waiting a moment, I told the outspoken clerk that we came in the back way last night. There was no hotel signs so we hoped we were going to our hotel, then when we saw the building we again didn’t see no name on hotel. We weren’t sure this was a hotel. There was a sign in parking lot to make sure nothing in vehicles visible. Later going out to get something to eat at local pub and get gas, I was told not to go out and fill coolers with ice as not safe for me. So I waited till morning……
This is why I try to stay at a Marriott. Booking- Booked three rooms for the night. Had to call repeatedly to correct them on the pricing. Asked for a AAA discount and they raised the price. Had to get an ‘override’ to correct it. Elevator is broken. The man said, ‘ Apparently the elevator broke yesterday.’ I doubt it. This was not disclosed to be at booking or at check in. The common ice machine on first floor was broken. The woman told me, ‘you need to pull the cover forward’. Got to see how dirty the ice machine was inside. Gross. They charged my credit card an additional $100 per night per room. Said they’d release it within a few days. No thank you.
Had an awful experience recently at this hotel. Staff are rude, unhelpful and have an attitude problem. I’ve never been treated and disrespected in a hotel as I was here. The room was cold and electrics in the room hanging off the wall unsafe as well. It was also noisy outside with a bus sat idling right outside for 30 mins at 5.30am with diesel fumes wafting via the ac into my room. I will never stay here again. Awful hotel.
No more than 30 minutes after checking into our room my partner and I noticed a roach crawling on the wall. After informing the front desk, we were told that there were no extra rooms available and that the manager would be able to accommodate our experience in the morning. A hotel employee was able to remove the bug & we spent the night hoping to resolve everything the next day. While checking out, the manager on duty told us that she could only discount us TEN DOLLARS for our experience. Repeatedly trying to compare the roach to a house fly. Do not go to this place unless you want to potentially sleep next to roaches or deal with unreasonable hotel staff.
So we actually did not have a chance to stay overnight as the rooms were fully booked (we were walk ins as our car had unexpectedly broken down) but we wanted to highly commend the receptionist working this afternoon (I believe his name was Michael - but we were pretty bleary from our ordeal) - he was kind and accommodating and helpful even after it was clear we would not have a room to stay. Exceptional customer service and he alone would be reason enough to book at this hotel - you will be in good hands.
This place was off the beaten path. When we got there we were the only people in the whole place. Pool is green and closed for use. No headphones in fitness room on machines and large TV had no remote. No towels or sanitizer in fitness room either. Computers out of order. No breakfast. Common room was dark and empty. When I asked young man at desk if they were going out of business he said they'd recently been bought by Marriott and Marriott hadn't decided how much $ they were going to put into the place and where they were going to focus. Room was very clean and comfortable. Young man at the desk made a great suggestion for dinner (Tavern in the Square) which was only about a mile away. At checkout the woman at the desk how our stay was and I answered "Fair" She asked why only fair and I told her about all the things that were missing especially the pool. She said that was listed on MANY sites that the pool was not available. I hadn't seen that anywhere. Oh well, won't be staying there again EVER!…
Very clean but pricy. I suggest booking online for better deals or signing up for the Marriott account for deals. Breakfast included with my stay. I do wish the they offered a buffet for breakfast. Lastly the rooms aren’t sound proof. You will hear noises from upper floors.
This hotel is super close to the crosspoint building in Lowell, but doesn't have a shuttle, so it's still about a mile walk to the office. I stayed in room 230. The water pressure was really bad, the walls are super thin, so I could hear everyone around me coughing, stomping, and flushing all night long. Next time, I'll try a different Marriott when visiting crosspoint.
