I was reluctant to write this review because I don't want more people to discover this gem of an inn in Cambridge - am afraid it will become harder to get reservations! This is a very classy B&B . . . I've only stayed there once, so have only seen one room. #6 was very nicely appointed and spotless. I...

The Mary Prentiss Inn is a quiet and restful place, particularly welcome after a tiring day in Boston and Cambridge. The food was great, and the afternoon cupcakes were among the tastiest that I've ever eaten. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating in a courtyard full of plants. The overall skillful design of the property makes it easy to...

I have been fortunate enough to find this jewell on Prentiss St in Cambridge Ma. I live outside of the Cambridge area, but whether it is weather related or pleasure purposes, I love staying at the Mary Prentiss Inn. Lisa the Inn keeper/ manager is always so helpful to make sure I have everything I need. The staff is always...

I think I had been expecting a little too much from the Mary Prentiss Inn. I had read so many great reviews and was expecting a top notch inn. Unfortunately, it falls a little short of excellent. Lisa, who greeted us, was friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff - not so much. The breakfast arrangement is strange. You...

Went here for one night to visit a friend who was bartending. Everything from start to finish was excellent. Great room, free afternoon cakes and coffee, free breakfast, which was superb. Only thing, when we were checking we felt the girl did not want to be there. Not overfriendly.

This was our second time staying at Mary Prentiss Inn. It's very quaint, tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home including an afternoon tea with treats. We stayed in one of the rooms off the deck and found the bed comfortable and cozy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. There is a full or continental sit-down...

We were coming to Boston for a few days, and wanted an inn that served a good breakfast, and was convenient to the T. This fit the bill. My husband and I shared Suite 13 with our teenage son. It is a very nice room, with our queen size bed in a "loft", and my son using the pull-out sofa...

Comfortable and beautiful. Very helpful staff. Has parking which is great bonus and a lovely courtyard to have breakfast in the summer. They responded to my husband's dietary needs with such a desire to please, it was heartwarming.

Everything about our stay exceeded our high expectations. Our room was a reasonable rate for Cambridge, even on a night when many hotels rates were very high and others were sold out. Our room comfortably slept us (a couple and one teenager), since it included a pull-out sofa. The furniture and decor was all beautiful, including the elegant bathroom. No...

My wife's son is within walking distance of MPI. And so are about thirty trustworthy eating establishments as well the T and bus stops. It's a ten minute walk from Harvard/Square. Each room in which we've stayed is different. All are homey - warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The environment is quiet though hardly monastic. The...
