My husband and 10 yr old daughter stayed here for one night and will definitely return. Blue and her husband are warm, conscientious hosts, and their B&B reflects a love for art and travel. Blue works at Harvard's Museum of Natural History and her excitement about it is contagious. We enjoyed it immensely. If you want a quiet place to...

I have really pondered what to write here. We had such a hard time finding a relatively nice & inexpensive place to stay in the Boston area. We found Blue's and, I would stay again. It's close to the Porter T station, Harvard Square, and many great restaurants. However, there was something off that everyone I was traveling with couldn't...

I was also staying at this very same B&B with the above reviewer (CVictor from Spain, and I'm from Singapore). We were situated in opposite rooms, come from almost exactly opposite sides of the world, have never met before this, staying for different periods (mine was 3 weeks, longer than his!) - but our feelings of Blue's B&B are the...

I´ve been to several places for leisure and work purposes, in the last 20 years, in three continents. I´ve been in luxury five star resorts, business hotels, motels, but never in a B&B. When I had to participate in a Harvard simposium, I gave Blue´s a try and it worked perfectly for me. I guess it´s a matter of common...

Lots of positives about this place: all the essentials are offered (wifi, cable tv, a really exceptional breakfast, hosts who take seriously the idea of b&b hospitality). The room where I stayed was large, quiet, and tree-shaded, and the bed was comfortable. It's a challenge to find lodging at this price in this location. The immediate neighborhood is quiet, affluent,...

Thanks so much for your feedback, and glad you found the rooms comfortable. We have now installed individual locks on each guestroom door. The walk to the T is 6 minutes, 1/3 mile, but the B&B is even closer to University's shuttle bus to Harvard Square & Oxford St. science buildings--so very convenient for anyone visiting the University. Hope we'll...

After experiencing a couple of other B&Bs in the neighborhood, this is the one I'll plan my trips around in the future. It has the intimacy of just two rooms, so it feels very much like being at home and not part of a get-'em-in-&-get-'em-out business. The rooms are both large and comfortable with space to spread out and work,...

Blue's bed and breakfast is great....if you enjoy paying a lot of money to live in a room that looks like it's been funished with couches found on the street and enjoy a generally dirty house. There's other added bonus' though, like not having any locks on the bedrooms so all of your stuff remains open to everyone in the...

I was flabbergasted to discover this review from a guest who never brought her concerns to the attention of the student innsitting the B&B. The guest knew I would be away during her stay, and because our guestrooms were full, she had accepted our carefully explained offer to stay in our son's room while he was away. Had she asked,...

A big Thank You to all the other reviewers on this site who wrote so highly about Blue's: after reading all the overwhelmingly positive reports, we decided to book there for our recent trip to Boston. We were just delighted with the entire experience. The value for money was important to us, and being so very close to Harvard Square...

Ignore the poor review. This B&B is the best I've stayed at in the USA, making it the best value too. I received a fantastic welcome from Blue and John on arrival from the UK. Hospitality was great throughout, along with the large clean rooms. The recommended visit to the Harvard Natural History museum was a highlight of the stay,...

I recommend Blue's Bed and Breakfast highly to any visitors. Blue and John are experienced with culturally diverse clients and make you feel like living "home out of home". We had a great stay: clean, enjoyable, warm and very practical because of the internet access . We'll be back! Incredible Good breakfast! Very good served!
