Location ideal. Welcome informative. Whole experience very impersonal. Breakfast unexciting. We went on to stay in quite a number of B&Bs in both the US and Canada, so we quickly came to realise what might normally be expected service-wise.

This quaint bed-and-breakfast is in an excellent location for anyone visiting Harvard (or even MIT). Dave, the owner, is super-friendly, and will give you all sorts of tips on what's going on in the city. Dave also shared some of the local history which was extremely informative. This is not really and bed-and-breakfast, although Dave DOES serve a continental breakfast...

My wife Nancy and I stayed at Parkside the first week in June. We arrived a bit late do to plane travel delays but were greeted warmly by David who took his time to show us our room and educate us on a few places to see and things to do. The room was great and our morning breakfast was...

From the moment I arrived David the host created an amazing first impression that carried on until we said our Goodbyes some 4 days later. The room was really well appointed, quiet and gave me a chance to unwind after a day of education. Really conveniently located with a nice 10 minute stroll to Harvard Square and transport options to...

Spent three nights during my grad school reunion in the Scholar room. Very friendly and helpful owner, clean and charming room (wonderful selection of old books to peruse), and excellent location -- walk anywhere in Harvard or Central Square in 10-15 minutes. Quite private and quiet. Feels like staying in someone's very nice spare room. Only cons were (1) very...

This B and B is conveniently located to Harvard Square and the T, and yet on a quiet residential street. The rooms are beautifully decorated and soothing. Breakfast arrives on a tray in the morning--the offerings are limited but you can have as much as you want. David was extremely personable and accommodating.

Position of B&B convenient. Room comfortable. Service totally non existent. After our first night, we came back to find the beds not made, bathrooms not cleaned, trash cans not emptied out. In fact there were no cleaners at all. However, If you stay 6 days or more then on 6th day your room will be 'freshened up'. Have you ever??? I...

We had such a great experience at the Parkside. David was an amazing host - I spoke with him by phone and email several times in advance of our visit and he could not have been more helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay easier, and was an incredibly gracious host. We stayed in the Cambridge...

Charming book-lined rooms (especially books on architecture and gardens), warm welcome, great location near Fogg Museum and Cambridge Public Library (where there is free internet, comfortable places to read, and a nice lawn in front). Near Harvard Square but out of the bustle.

Our family stayed for three nights in August in the Victorian and Scholar's room. David helped enormously by giving us a parking permit for our car (which we didn't use at all while we were in Cambridge) and with general advice. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we could want in them. I definitely preferred the Victorian room as...
