The A frame chalets have cable TV. We did listen to the broadcasts after each day of outdoor activity. Our chalet had a picnic table outside that we used. The park sells firewood and we did purchase firewood for our outdoor fire in the evening. The chalets have all the linens for a stay. These are rustic accommodations. If you...

Great place. We arrived Thursday afternoon and went to find our campsite. Our site was very spacious, pretty level, and the best thing was, even if the campgrounds were full we wouldn't be looking at the back of someone else's camper. They were very spaced out. We enjoyed campfires each night and the park was very quiet with the exception...

I had been to Desoto State park before, but had not stayed in their cabins. I stayed in their log cabin and was very happy with the cabin itself. Nice cabin with fireplace, cable television with a tv in the living room and each bedroom. Beautiful back porch with three rocking chairs. Wifi is provided out of the motel, so...

Just went last weekend Oct 15, 2016 and the colors of the changing leaves are amazing with the brilliance of reds, orange, and yellow. Really nice drive and had lunch at the De Soto Restaurant. Buffet style with fresh salad and I thoroughly enjoyed the pulled BBQ.

Went to try out the Seafood Buffett and was greatly disappointed....for the price $18.95 per person I would expect to have fresh seafood not frozen..My husband liked the grilled, blackened fish but other than that we were not impressed. The building itself is quite interesting and there is a nice deck that overlooks the river. The waitress was very pleasant...

We had a great time staying in Chalet #15 this past weekend. Online says that there is only 1 dog-friendly chalet or cabin, we found out that this is not true, Call and ask if online res. system says none are available. Don't expect perfection, AL parks are seriously underfunded and you can see this in the upkeep of the...

The hotel shape doesn't allow for much privacy coming and going. It is a nice place to stay in the area. Well maintained trails with friendly people. The room is nothing special. Average clean etc. At check in there was an internet booking mistake. It was corrected but took a bit because they were busy

The rustic cabin was about what I expected. Nothing fancy, but basic. Beds could have been a lot better. No comfortable chairs. Hide a bed needs to be replaced. The porch was great, but it was not screened in like the photos depicted. Nice quiet place and easy to het to. We had cabin 12. Bathroom needs updating. The restaurant...

My husband and I traveled here for the weekend from South Alabama for the waterfalls, hiking and scenery. We were not expecting much from a state park lodge and are hotel snobs but I am writing this review because this place far surpassed our expectations. The reviews and pictures for the rooms do not do them justice. This may be...

Not sure where to leave this - the campground does not have its own page. This campground is awesome - and we have stayed in many campgrounds. Hiking to the waterfalls from within the campground is a great plus. Lots seem to be fairly level with both pull through, back in and buddy lots (two lots together). Sewer and cable...
