We stayed a this hotel as part of a tour, so I don't know how much we paid, but as a generic place to say, it's ok, but it feels like the municipal (school) building it once was. The service was friendly, and the food was tasty, but expensive. The dining room still has the school vibe about it. The...

Probably the only hotel around that region. Good for relax. No shops nor restaurants nearby. Wide variety of rooms. Choose the one with better curtain which can block the sunshine when you want a sleep in summer. Some facilities historical. Helpful staff, good food and restaurant. Far away from ringroad and may not be suitable for traveller in a hurry.

We stayed 2 days at the Fosshotel Reykholt. Not being used to 3 star hotels, we did not expect much. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was spacious, the service was excellent and our two dinners were very good. A nice surprise at the beginning of our Iceland vacation.

Don't let the dated lobby fool you--the rooms are remodeled, comfortable and clean. The dining room is very light and comfortable and the food is very good. The Lonely Planet review of the hotel restaurant isn't accurate at all. We ate there the first night a little reluctantly because it is the only restaurant in town and we'd been driving...

This was the second stop on our 14 day tour of Iceland. We had booked with "All-Iceland" agents in the UK. We will be staying in a lot of "Foss" hotels in the next couple of weeks, We had travelled from Reykjavik and arrived at the hotel after visiting the "Journey Into the Glacier - Ice Tunnel" in Langjökull. The...

Reykholt is a small town with a renowned little Church. The most fun you can get there, is the otherwise deserted self-service gas station. There was no one at reception when we arrived, but a phone and a phone number you could call, which went to a mobile that was at the empty reception desk. Eventually we was allocated a...

After a long drive it was nice. There is a nature bath available outside till 11pm. Room adequate and cosy, reception helpful. Breakfast was good. Small things to mention Wifi only available in lobby and shower head needed re-fitting.

Foss Hotel in Iceland is a chain hotel. Building was new and modern. Rooms were clean and had nice private showers in each room. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical of region. Nice choices. Good proximity to attractions in area. Easy to find right off ring road. We enjoyed our stay .

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Fosshotel tour. The room was a bit dated bit was large and our daughter (who in other hotels had a bed in her room) had an additional room here. There was also a fridge which was useful. We also found the hotel staff here to be the most friendly and...

Seemed to be a large concrete school building converted into some semblance of a hotel. Beds were ok but hard. Water reeked and plumbing wasn't in great shape. Blinds didn't work quite right. They claimed they didn't have wifi but the wifi worked in the room after all (unexpected bonus in one sense, in another, the staff clearly don't know...

Dear OranjeTravel Thank you for taking time to write a review about Fosshótel Reykholt, it help us improve our service and offer a better experience to our guests in the future. The smell of the water in our hotel is not due to a bad plumbing, it is because the hot water in this area is geothermal thus the smell...
