We spent two nights here. The quaint furnishings were definitely not something I'd pick out for my own home, but at least the place has some personality. The setting is what stands out here--the surroundings are gorgeous. As others have noted, the restaurant is expensive, even for Iceland. I'd recommend visiting the tourist trap restaurants down the road at Skógafoss,...

We stayed for one night which was ok. If it would have been for more nights then I would not have stayed. The room is very small and so is the bathroom. Old décor. There is no much to do or see so if you are into this kind of holiday then you will love it. The setting of the...

The drive up to Country Hotel Anna was the highlight. After exiting the Ring Road, you take a gravel road past several farms, with sheep and horses often in the road to greet you, and some seriously impressive waterfalls. The hotel room is simple but spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, as was the homemade herb bread. As...

This hotel is in a cute little village near the mountains. It's old fashioned in its furnishings but very comfortable, and our room on the 2nd floor had a good amount of space, including a little desk area. The food in the restaurant was pretty pricey, so we stuck to appetizers for a smallish meal. The breakfast in the morning...

What a quirky hotel-- all the decor was like a "blast from the past" -- kind of refreshing considering how much ikea furniture I've seen at other hotels around!! Breakfast was standard but plentiful and something for everyone. Our room was clean (but outdated-- which is also part of the charm)

This hotel is three stars. The room was large and full of 1950's furniture and wallpaper. It was clean but so much so that the initial smell of bleach was overwhelming. There is no fridge in the room and no milk was supplied for the tea and coffee (but we asked for fresh milk and received some). Cold water is...

Delightful small hotel with 7 beautiful and inviting bedrooms with bathrooms. Being a small hotel it allows you to enjoy the friendly staff who can't do enough for you. You will enjoy Chef Einar's premises and the delicious meals he prepares. Our dinner was the best we had on our visit to Iceland. We would like to bring our family...

Stayed one night in a room on the ground floor. The setting was lovely - a little way from the ringroad nestled at the base of steep-sided hills at the end of a valley. Our room was warm, comfortable & quirky, but the furniture was quite old - kind of shabby-chic, but heavy on the shabby - the cupboard door...

We stayed at Country Hotel Anna as part of a tour across southern Iceland. Our guide, a former chef, was able to get us a room as there were just two of us on the tour and he was keen to stay there based on the reputation of the food. We felt a bit guilty bringing our muddy hiking clothes...

A lot of hardwork has been put in to this hotel. Every detail is just amazing. Real country touch to everything including the breakfast which had some local fish pickle and meat items. The rooms are comfortable with kettle and hair dryers. The food is little towards the expensive side. We didn't eat from here. This doesn't mean the food...
