Easily most memorable part of our holiday to Iceland. Exactly what you'd hope for in a mountain getaway. Enjoyed the rustic accommodations, tasty meals (especially the lamb soup!) and meeting Arty the fox and his friend. Staff was knowledgable, friendly and helpful and even let...More

Sorry for my late reply! We took the 4x4 bus so I did not experience it with a car. And we passed the rivers when they were low. never the less we heard locals saying the last river is not safe to take by car. Especially when you are not experienced. You can purchase your bustickets online. There is a link on the volcano huts website. Don't let this scare you off, it's worth the trip!
