Arriving at Keflavik airport on an overnight flight, I didn't want to drive all the way into Reykjavik on little sleep, so I was looking for affordable lodgings near the airport, and the Guesthouse Borg in Grindavik fit the bill. Our hosts were friendly, the place was very clean and quiet. The shared bathrooms are across the hall. The shower...

This is a great place to say if you're going to Blue Lagoon. It's ridiculously close (all of Grindivik is). The owner is very nice (Bjork) and efficiently got us checked in and informed about things do do and eat nearby. Sleepy little town with few people walking around or driving. Minor breakfast available (toast, jam, cereal, milk, coffee). The...

The guesthouse is a good place to stay for a night or two if you plan to stay in Grindavik (nothing special in the town itself, but close to Blue Lagoon and Reykjanes peninsula). Basic standard with shared bathrooms. Hostess is very nice and has a wonderful sense of humor so it is very easy to feel welcome. Simple breakfast...

We spent one night at Guesthouse Borg. The owner was more than happy to tell us about the area and suggested places to eat and visit. Our room was clean and comfortable and there was free wifi. What more can you ask for?

We just slept over at this place. Even though we arrived at 1am, the lady of the house waited up and greeted us. She showed us our room, told us about the local attractions and the rules of the house. Everything was spotless and very well stocked and efficient. There was a pc and working WiFi, we were very happy!...

Positives: 1) Location - right in the centre of Grindavik. 5min by car to the Blue Lagoon and 20min to the airport. 2) Friendly owner - we were greeted warmly on our arrival. The owner showed us all the local attractions on the maps and recommended what was worth seeing in the area. 3) Breakfast was included in the room...

This was our first nights stay in Iceland, and it's no more than a 20 minutes drive from Keflavik airport. There was no one there to meet us when we arrived - a message was left on a notice board outside telling us our room number, and that the key was in the door. It was a bit of a...

This was a very friendly guesthouse. The owners took care to tell you about the Town and sights. The people we met there were from all over the world. It was fun to meet them. Good location for all the main attractions. We will go there again if in Iceland.

This B&B is well located when you arrive in the late afternoon or evening and you want to combine with the Blue Lagoon as it is just 5 minutes away. We had a very hearthy welcome from the owner who showed us where all the places of interests are located around. Guests have the living room with television and sofas...

A really lovely guesthouse. We had a warm welcome (and tourist advice) from Bjork -the schoolteacher owner. The guesthouse has everything you need it's cheap, warm, comfortable. The self catering kitchen is a real boon. It's provided with everything you need to make your own coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Icelandic bottled water is available in the fridge. Cereals for breakfast,...
