There was no strike plate for the door jamb, just a hollowed out hole in the door frame. A light for the bathroom would only work if you banged your fist on the wall. The light on the desk would not work, regardless of what you did. The rear door to the motel would not read anyone's card, and there was a rock placed to prevent the door from closing. Security was a major problem and safety was also a major problem. You could deduce from the history that these problems were common place and has been this way for quite awhile. Luckily I only stayed one night and it was enough. Pure crap.
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending the State Fair. I'm not sure what they normally charge per night (around $50?), but I ended up paying $79 per night, but I was expecting the price increase due to the fair going on. For a budget Hotel, I have no complaints!!!! one can tell that this hotel is a much older building, and repairs have been made throughout the years. The beds were comfy, everything was pretty clean, the TV was kind of small, but came with LOTS of channels, the staff was nice. I can see where parking might be a little confusing due to another hotel being right next door, and it looks like maybe they share the same parking lot? Anyways, very nice for the price, I would stay here again.
Do NOT stay at this hotel!!! Do NOT trust any of the pictures! I am extremely upset. I booked a room through Priceline.com, checked in and paid for the room. The room was horrible, dirty (Had not been cleaned between us and the previous guest), it smelled like cigarettes, the doors were broke, black dirt/mold and bugs in the window, and they were spraying for bugs down the hallway. We did not feel safe staying there with my son and father-in-law, so we left and told the front desk it was not going to work for us because of these reasons. I called both Priceline.com, booking.com and the hotel. The hotel manager has not called me back even after repeated attempts by me calling and emailing (Talked to Tony, Chris, and I think she said Monica who all said Ashley or Tina would call me back). I have tried to handle this politely, but I was told someone would call me 4 days ago and no one has called. Lies!!! Your company lied about what type of hotels you are representing. I travel a lot and have booked many hotels through Priceline and after this experience I will never use it again and I will never stay at another Sleep Inn or any of their associated hotels. I was charged for an unsafe, & unsanitary hotel and still have not received a call from anyone. I have called and wasted multiple hours trying to resolve this and I keep getting the run around. In the future, you need to make sure the hotels you are representing are what they say or force these hotels to pay the customers back. I am angry and would like to speak to someone who can actually do something! They want photos of this, but we did not want to stay another minute in this disgusting building!!!…
Reserved this hotel in May. Upon arrival we were told the pet fee changed from $25 which is stated on their website, to $75. It has to be paid in cash. Super fishy and ridiculous. Place is a dump. Whole place smells like marijuana. Stay away!!
check-in was ok, we just want a place to sleep for a few hours, I thought since we got in so late and said we were leaving very early they would give a break on the price. The room didn't smell but the hallway did. We have eaten breakfast yet, so I can't comment on that. For this price, I could have gotten something better.
The entire 1st floor reeked of weed when we checked in. Our room was also full of marijuana smoke making it difficult to sleep. The smell lingered in our room & the hallway for our entire stay. The room was also dirty; chips in floor & a wash cloth shoved between the wardrobe & window. We’ve stayed at this hotel before & it was fine. Something’s happened in the last few months to make it go down hill. Will not be staying here again.
Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra to stay elsewhere. I was here 4 nights and got very little sleep due to doors slamming all night, sometimes by the cleaning staff....at midnight! First room was not cleaned and was given a second room. Rooms do NOT look like pics on the website. TV didn't work. Whole place smells like Marijuana. Breakfast bar was empty by 8am. They do not have coffee cups, only plastic water cups. A coat of paint would go a long way Sleep Inn!
We have stayed here many times and never had issues. This time they gave our double bed smoking room away and we were put in a tiny corner room with barely enough room for 2 people and 2 suitcases. There was one towel in the room. The tv didn’t work and we let them know before we left for dinner. Came back and still not fixed. It just seemed like there were many people “hanging out “ inside and outside of this hotel. The only positive was the bed and nice bedding.
For the price I have no complaints. There were a couple problems when we arrived but they were immediately rectified. Staff very friendly and the housekeeper we dealt with went above and beyond. I would stay again.
I booked a cheap hotel so I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, however there are certain bare minimums that every hotel must meet. At 5:30 pm our room still had not been cleaned for check in. They said they would send someone up to clean it. They sent someone that was not in housekeeping. All she did was make the bed. She could not answer as to whether the sheets were clean. Did not bring clean sheets, just made the bed. So other people had slept in that bed and the sheets were NOT changed for us. Luckily we had a blanket in the car that we threw on top of the bed and had to sleep on top of that. Our friends room did not have any towels. They were told they couldn’t get any because the washer and dryer are slow and they did not have clean towels. We had to give them one of the 2 we had. When we were checking in the girl ran my charge card twice. She was afraid to tell me and was acting like my card wasn’t working. Then she told me it was only her third day working there. I understood and just needed a credit for the second charge. She got the manager to help her with the credit. The manager began screaming at her in front of everyone waiting in line. He then proceeded to yell at me and would not give me a receipt for the credit of the duplicate charge. I doubt that girl came back to work again. The coffee pot did not work. The chair was missing a wheel and leaned. The housekeeping that was there had their mask below their nose. Most of the stuff is not a big deal and can be expected with cheap hotels, BUT there is NO excuse for no clean sheets or towels. That is disgusting enough in normal times but we are in the middle of a pandemic making it even worse. We should have been allowed to cancel and get refund. I have no idea how the health department has not shut this place down! I will be reporting them.…
