Altogether the Mansion View Inn was acceptable, but in many ways, but the burden of the years is clearly visible. The best is the location. Many sites are close (Dana House, State Mansion just opposite, Abraham Lincoln House etc.). The staff was friendly and helpful. It was OK for one night, but not more. Would only come back after a...

Stayed here years ago and little has changed. Used to be frequented by legislators, but didn't see any last time. Did see some other unsavory characters and wasn't thrilled. Slept with a chair propped on my door. The back side runs along a set of RR tracks and guests are treated to a train coming through at about 4:00 AM...

Made my reservation 2 months in advance for a Conference. When I arrived, they informed me I was being upgraded to a suite. Had a nice, comfortable bed with a large TV on the dresser, sitting room with a TV, and refrigerator with free Wi-Fi. It was in a good area near the Capitol building. Had an "OK" Continental breakfast...

The location is great and the staff friendly but the place is a run down dump. The room smelled and the walls in the bathroom were falling apart. Our room was not nearly as nice looking as the pictures. The train goes by 3-4 times in the middle of the night with the horn blasting.

Room was reasonably spacious given we got a smaller room. Big comfortable bed, TV, coffee making facilities, iron and hairdryer, as well as arm chair and small table make up the rooms furnishings. Be warned, this place is right beside a train track, and the trains honk loudly as they pass. I was exhausted arriving, and I slept the whole...

Like another reviewer mentioned, the older woman at the front desk with the Russian accent was extremely rude, which almost deterred us completely, but we decided to overlook it the first time because we had already reserved over the phone, and we went to look at the room. And the room wasn't clean, and it definitely wasn't worth staying if...

My husband and I went up for my niece's high school graduation. He found this motel online and the pictures and reviews all looked good for the price so he booked it for the 3 nights we were going to be in town. Our room wasn't bad, it was clean for the most part. It was just an old musty...

Located across the street from the Governor's Mansion, this is a great location for visiting the state house as well as the historic district. Everything is within very easy walking distance. Though the exterior seems dated, my room was very clean and comfortable. I had no issues with the room itself. The front desk staff were great and recommended a...

Lovely bed and selection of pillows -- and no noise from the train out back. Room and parking were great!!! -- you can walk to all the Lincoln sites and good restaurants and pubs from there. Breakfast was minimal -- not even any decaf coffee, but the price and location were perfect!

I have traveled quite a bit, but I have never come across a room so small as this. 2 double beds barely fit in the room. No remote for the TV. Nothing stayed plugged in because the outlets were so outdated. The one outlet by one of the beds was burned out and I had sparks come out of another...
