This is the best place to stay in Springfield, other than the newer Springhill Suites (which has the same owner). I’ve stayed almost everywhere else. Staff are friendly and even post-Covid they clean your room every day. The rooms are up to date and modern, and the daily breakfast is decent (better on weekends).
2 adults 1 kid in a King Studio Suite just perfect and large for us. We were at room 211 and we stayed July 9-11, 2022. Pros - Large, fully equipped room with comfy bed lots of pillows - full sized kitchen with pots pans plates glasses cooking utensils etc. - EXCELLENT front desk staff especially the tall, male receptionist of whom I'm sorry to say I did not get the name. Very friendly, accommodating and willing to help with whatever our needs. - Newly renovated modern hotel - Around 15 minutes away from downtown Lincoln tour spots and there are tons of restaurants around the area (some walkable) - It was a pro for us that the pool area is by appointment only and only 1 room can use the pool in the hour alloted to your appointment. - Comes with free breakfast which rotates with the usual fair of waffles, hot breakfast, croissant sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal etc. - Check out time is 12PM - Elevators are fast - Laundry room on-site Cons - While our room was clean and sheets were spotless, I did notice that the fridge was not wiped and the kitchen counters a bit sticky. But it wasn't a biggie because I wipe with sanitizing wipes all over the room anyway. - The AC is a bit loud, woke me up a bit but not too much. - Much of the time it was quiet. The only possible disquiet would be the door locking and opening at next door. - Although pool hours are by appointment only, there was a bunch of teens (some of them aren't even guests) who may disrupt the booking times as they tend to just get in and out of the pool without regard to policies and even left soaked towels beside the pool (disgusting behavior). Staff was able to handle them professionally. Overall, cons dont discount one bit of our stay which was pleasurable. Don't hesitate to book this property. It's one of the better hotels we've been and we stay at different hotels almost every month.…
The hotel is undergoing a renovation but it’s been really well-maintained so we didn’t fell like we were in an old property. The suite was very clean & comfortable but the staff is what really made it a great stay. Lanes checked us in and he was efficient & really pleasant. He & EJ were at the desk and ready to answer any of our questions. Tina was at the evening receptions & breakfast hours and made sure everyone was enjoying their stay. Rhonda joined her at the breakfast hours and was just as welcoming as Tina. Great hotel experience!
Liked the pool, but the rest of the hotel was unimpressive. Bed seemed lumpy. The ventilation blew all night and it was noisy. Breakfast typical hotel food. Near lots of restaurants. Not some place we would return to.
The AC wasn’t working properly. We think the filter hadn’t been changed in 20 years. The bed squeaked some when you moved but it was comfortable. The bathtub is very slick so be careful. I had to use the business center for some unexpected work and the internet was very slow. I probably should just learn to use my tablet. The breakfast was typical. It was also clean and the staff was helpful.
We stayed here for a couple of weeks to visit family. The room was clean, the kitchen was stocked with dish soap, new sponge in package, dish washer tabs and paper towels. I heard in November they will start a remodel, brininging in things like USB ports which they currently do not have. However what makes this hotel click are the staff, they set the tone for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night mixers, breakfast, and any other time, We absolutely felt at home here! Mark the manager is a very friendly guy who is genuinely interested in your stay. Robin at the front desk is a fixture at this hotel. We have been here several times over the years and it is great to see her move up to more responsible positions as she is very customer oriented. So is Christina at the front desk. Sheldon and Abby in engineering are happy to help out with any problems you might have with your room-we has none but you always see them doing something with a smile. What really makes this place a home away from home aware the breakfasts (hot, serve yourself but very good) and the mixers! Tina, Abby, Rhonda and Cindy are a hoot! There is nowhere else in Springfield we will stay! Sorry if I missed anyone, and a shout out to Spike for hiring good people!…
We were there for a wedding Labor Day weekend! The staff were so accommodating, friendly and very helpful! Chelsey and Christina are a big plus for this company.. Loved our room and we will definitely stay there next time we are in town! Your front desk staff are wonderful! Thank u! Debi and Steve
Clean, in good repair. The staff was friendly and helpful. Got upgraded to a two bedroom suite. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Pool was clean. Unfortunately it was overrun with small kids. They were having a good time.
Great staff and clean hotel. Used this hotel for business a couple times and it works well. Nice breakfast, accommodating staff, good location. You do get a lot of people coming and going for work and pleasure, but everything is nice. They have “happy hours” some nights with themed food and drink, which is popular with the longer term guests. Grill outside for use.
My daughter and I stopped on our way home hoping for good beds as we had driven close to 24h in 4 days. She has a weakened immune system, which sets up what makes this even worse. We get in our room and I get her settled in the second bedroom. We had some dinner and then started getting ready for bed. At this point it was late and we were VERY tired. I noticed the master bathroom had no bath towels or wash cloths but the soaps and disinfecting wipes were there so didn't think much of it. There was 1 hand towel next to the sink that kinda looked like it was just tossed there but mostly folded. Didn't think much of it. I got a wash cloth from the other bathroom, washed my face, dried it with that hand towel and headed to bed. The pillows were a bit messy but again, too tired to think about it much. Now, the bed! I had to perch in the very center of it and try to balance. The edges were so broken down that I felt like I was going to roll right out of it. It was VERY springy in a bad way. The springs made a ton of noise and were very apparent. I finally fell asleep but woke up every time I moved due to that feeling of falling off the side if I got off the very center. The next morning I get up and get a towel from the other bathroom and go to take a shower. I reach in through the curtain and turn it on. Once it was warmed up I opened the curtain... There was a hair covered sliver of soap in the soap holder and every inch of surface that was not being hit by the water was COVERED in head hair and pubes.... I also notice a used towel shoved behind the toilet... I now have these flashes of that slightly out of place towel that I dried my face with the night before... Was it used? What was dried with it? Did I wipe someone's butt towel on my face? What about those messy pillows? Was the bedding not changed? Did I sleep with my face against some other person's drool? What else wasn't cleaned? When we checked out I told the kid behind the counter about it and asked how long ago the last person checked out... 7 days... Well within the length of time covid can live on surfaces. What did my daughter just get exposed to? What did I just get exposed to? He took a note and said he would have his manager give me a call. It's been 26 hours and no call so I am writing this review. I will definitely not be staying here again! Room was $200 for the 8 hours we were in it but what will be the true cost?…
