Room was dirty from a party before and the staff working gave attitude when I told him my water line to toilet was leaking!! He gave me a plunger and towels and I said this is not the problem, I had to show him and then he started to walk out.. I said hey, we need a new room because we have no toilet to use. He gave us an upper floor room and my mom is handicapped when the elevator didn’t work.. would not recommend this place to stay.
A lovely stay. The front desk staff were very accommodating- Robyn and Kirstie did a great job. The pool was clean and the rooms were as well. Breakfast was the normal fare - but there was plenty available. They even made a pot of decaf coffee for me!
Very nice size room with plenty of area to put the luggage, etc. Great lighting and mirrors for getting ready when others are using the bathroom. Lots of options for breakfast and plenty of seating area where guests could spread out.
Room was severely rundown, towels were thin and tore easily. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Internet was not high speed. Surroundings were not great. The Covid glass gave your feast a real warm, homey feel. Not…
Okay, but fifth bed is a window seat without sheets. The breakfast had no healthy options other then fruit. Everything was made with sugar and white flour. The people at the desk were not very helpful. I did get a very friendly helpful person when I called during the day.
We stayed for one night and had a pleasant visit. Easy check-in, clean room, good water pressure in the shower. All important pieces for a easy relaxed stay. The beds were comfortable and the room size was perfect for 2 people. The location was 5 miles from our concert venue which made in convenient to drive ourselves instead of using an Uber.
It’s next door to a 24-hour iHop! Well lit parking. Feels pretty safe. Friendly staff. Hotel use to be shiny and clean before new management. Forget about the breakfast. You get what you pay for. Go to iHop!
Microtel is a great place to stay and visit the sites of Springfield. Easy location to get to. IHOP, Applebees both in walking distance of hotel. Many others across the road. Always had clean rooms, soft beds, and wonderful staff. Easy check in- check out.
PROS: ample parking , close to restaurants like IHOP and Applebees. close to the interstate ; good location on the north east side of Springfield. room was clean, firm beds and pillows ; love the reading nook by the window; the window air/heat worked well; all day coffee; CONS: the hot breakfast was mainly the make your own waffles and toast - no meat or eggs ; no exhaust in the toilet- be sure to bring deodorizer spray ; It was a good stay in the hotel , only marred by the other guests whose lives matter but unfortunately was not respectful of other people staying at the hotel as they had children screaming and running in the hallways from the first floor where they usually bought their own dinner and ate at the tables downstairs and they were also busy slamming the doors to their room until 1 am. Other guests at the hotel also complained about the noise and they were from the 1st floor. Everyone from the 3rd floor also heard the ruckus all night . These rude guest unfortunately were treating the hotel like their own home with utter disregard to the remaining guests in the hotel who would like to sleep. Hannah front desk clerk tried to patrol the hallways, Jay the manager listened to my concerns the following day and Robyn went above and beyond to take care of us our last night and transferred us away from the very rowdy and noisy crowd in our previous hallway . Kirsten was very understanding in the morning when we explained what happened and again very grateful to Robyn for providing very good customer service recovery .…
We stay at this hotel numerous times a year. We normally don't have any issues. It's clean and reasonably priced. However, we stayed over the 25-26 of February and had an awful experience. The hot water heater was out in our side of the hotel, they moved us to 3 different rooms and never did get a full hot shower. Then, didn't get offered ANY type of compensation for the inconvenience of moving all of our stuff several times and they tried to charge for extra oppupancy. We will definitely be staying elsewhere on our next visit to Springfield.
