We cancelled the room because it was unacceptable. The cleaning lady told use they never use the nice building. All rooms that are booked are in the nasty smelly building. They still charged us $20. They are not good business people. They hanged up on me.
Booked online. Manager extremely rude! Had an attitude because booked online and got a cheaper rate & made that known! Bed was small as heck and room smelled terrible! Smelled like smoke! It was not as described as it was on website! Don’t waste your time or your nostrils!
Used the hotel through booking.com. looking for cheap but not horrible hotel room for the night as passing through on a trip and needed to stay overnight. not the most up to date hotel rooms and hotel definitely show signs of age, but met our needs. staff was friendly. would recommend for the budget conscience that aren’t interested in a lot of frills.
Hard to find with no parking guaranteed. A man sleeping in his car took up one space for 3 days. The rooms were under par with no attentive management. Not worth any price for security and safety. Keep driving.
Check out is 11am. I asked if they could store my luggage till I went to the train station at 5pm. They said they don't do that! I had to pay for a whole other day! I've never had a hotel do that to me before.
It was the night before a total eclipse and the hotel was full. The people at the front desk were turning people who booked online, and paid on line away. We were booked and did get a room! It was what we requested 2 beds for 4 guests. The room was clean, towel set up for only 2 but that was easily correctable. The air conditioning worked wonderfully. Refrigerator and microwave were in the room and appeared clean. Important points for us. It was a short night for us as we left before breakfast was out. It was much bigger and nicer than we expected.
We were called to Springfield for a family emergency. This hotel was directly across from the hospital. They could not have been nicer to us. Other members of our family stayed there as well. We all thought it was a good value for a decent place to stay. What I liked best was having the staff ask show genuine concern for our family.
Booked online expecting pool when we arrived, pool was closed. Wish they would have mentioned this online when making reservation. Latch lock on door missing. Overall quiet and got a good nights sleep.
The room might have been ok if it were the 1980's. Huge tv and old furnishings, even the phone was so old that I haven't seen one like that in awhile! Lobby and hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. Only stayed one night but could barely sleep because of the trains that passed every couple of hours blaring their horns. Extremely overpriced at $99 dollars which did include taxes. It's situated in a neighborhood that didn't look to safe. To top it off when I finally had to use the washroom in the morning there was no to flush so I had to leave my business sitting there. Explained that to the checkout lady who lives in the hotel and she said she would send the maintenance guy over. I was happy to leave that place. Only stay if you have to, but beware.
We stayed here the night before my husband had surgery and found it to meet our needs perfectly. It's in an ideal location if you will be visiting memorial medical center. The place was dated, but clean. The pool was nice and the bed wasn't horribly uncomfortable. We would stay here again if we woukd ever need to be at MMC early in the morning for any reason.
