We stayed for one night whilst driving Route 66. It was a really lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and had a really comfy bed! The fitness room was great. We didn't have time to have the breakfast but it smelt amazing and looked like there was lots of choice! We also...

My wife and I recently spent one evening at the Carpenter Street Hotel for a wedding the following day. The prices a reasonable, and the room/hotel were clean and well maintained. The only downside was the breakfast. Get there early, because it seems the staff isn't concerned about restocking items once they're gone. The later you get there, the fewer...

Hello! Thank you for review of our hotel. We hope you enjoyed the wedding. We are glad you enjoyed the stay and found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. We deeply apologize about the issues with the breakfast. I will address this with the breakfast team. We will speak with our vendor in regards to the juice machine....

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 days. Our room was very nice, we had a king bed, big shower, tv, cable, WiFi, a desk, a mini fridge, a coffee machine, a microwave, air conditioning, and free breakfast which was fantastic. Although we are overall pleased with these things, we also encountered some problems. The first night we were...

Hello Elizabeth! Thank you for your review and taking the time to bring some of these issues to my attention! Overall I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed the room and our hot breakfast! We did experience a transformer issue, not within the hotel but a city transformer in the alley nearby. This was out of the hotels...

I needed a place to stay while my husband was in the hospital and this wonderful hotel was recommended to me. I stayed in a room with two double beds on the second floor and it was stylish, extremely clean and quiet. The room had nicely updated furniture and bedding with plush towels and good quality bathroom amenities. To me...

Clean and no frills...Have to leave property for meal, they provide continental breakfast, good location across from St. John's Hospital. Would recommend this hotel for a casual stay...No pool or hot tub...has workout room.

An acceptable budget hotel with a fabulous location. I would go there again, but keep my expectations low. Service was just okay or worse. For example, when we first arrived early I asked to have our room switched (reason below). The woman at the desk seemed indignant, essentially put-out, even though it was early in the day and I asked...

I went to Springfield to visit the Lincoln attractions and stayed 5 nights at the Carpenter Street Hotel. My 3rd floor room looked out onto Carpenter & 6th Street. It was clean, roomy, well-furnished and quiet. There were helicopters and trains as background but I like both so it was totally okay with me. I don't think they would bother...

I spent two nights at Carpenter St. May 17 & 18 while in town to work. My room was quiet, clean and spacious enough. One negative comment was several areas of peeling paint in the bathroom. Anyone paying careful attention to maintenance issues would have fixed that before it got as noticeable as it is now. Also, I thought it...

Thank you for staying with us. We are in the process of repainting our bathrooms. I'm sorry about no light by the chair and ottoman in your room. Many of our rooms have a floor lamp by the chair but due to the size of some of the rooms we were unable to put the floor lamp in there. I...

Some good and some poor points for this hotel and our first floor room. Good: location, price, friendly staff, newer furnishings. Poor: though the paint appears newer 3/4 walls and areas of the ceiling in our room were scuffed or nicked. And not just here and there, one entire wall. Breakfast appeared plentiful but flavorless. Light fixture switches for nearly...
