While traveling the ring road our photography group stayed one night at this charming hotel in a village with a population of 140. The hotel had a rustic feel with rough hewn wood accents, an open fireplace in the sitting area with comfortable sofas and chairs. My room for one had twin beds, a private bath, tv ( only a...

Hotel Blafell is a wonderfully cozy little place with very friendly staff. I visited in October 2016 with a friend while on a road trip around the country. We stayed at Hotel Blafell for one night, enjoyed dinner at their restaurant, hung out in the lounge next to the fireplace for a little while, and had breakfast before heading back...

This is a low rise hotel, it is only two storage high, but when you get in side the lobby, it is so cozy, if you are an American cowboy movie fan, you will be recall when you see the hotel. My first impression is a very nice and friendly smile of hotel' s staff. They are so friendly and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were decorated in wood which made this hotel feel cozy and cabin like. Much to our pleasant surprise there was a full sized Sauna! We were very excited to learn of this and enjoyed it, after our wonderful dinner in the restaurant. The meal at the restaurant was probably the...

This was my second stay here in 13 months. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The service is excellent and friendly, and the food excellent. Even during high season, they work with you to make accommodations. Will be back for sure!

The facilities are little more than a log cabin motel. While quaint this is not high end. Our dinner was a sub par buffer for a price that could have gotten us gourmet food in Reykavik. I chose this as a mid point on our trip, I will not do that again and neither should you unless you like to...

Good hotel in centre of Breiddalsvik - which is a very small town (village). The hotel itself was good and our room was lovely - very modern, spacious and clean. We even had a balcony overlooking the nursery and the campsite. Sadly the waitress service in the restaurant let the hotel down. The waitresses seemed more interested in chatting with...

Loved the sauna (but didn't know how to turn it on for the second day), and the smell of wood was lovely. It's a cute little town but the only meal option is at the hotel. Breakfast was fine, the main restaurant area was quite dated but did the trick. Kettle in room.

The room and hotel were nice and adequate for one nights stay. This was a stopping point after visiting the Glaciers which is a must do when travelling around this way. There is not much to do in the town as it is a small fishing village, but still a nice view. Only place to eat is at the hotel,...
