We checked in for 4 days and had a wonderful experience. Room was great with a splendid water view. We saw Denali a couple of nights. We were on the 16th floor - I do recommend a high floor. The bathroom is small but adequate and the complimentary breakfast and evening appetizers were great.

Comfortable, Cozy, Clean and well located in the heart of Anchorage. The bathroom soap smells so good, they offer robes, fridge, coffee maker, the rooms are quite accommodating. Of course the views get better the higher you are, but then again, you're in Alaska, which is something else all together. The little café near the elevators is nothing flash or...

AAA set up our first couple nights in Anchorage, AK at the Captain Cook Hotel before we started our Princess Cruise's land tour. The location is in the downtown area a couple blocks from the water and walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants, a mall & museum. And while this hotel isn't new, the lobby, hotel restaurants (there...

We just returned from our Alaskan adventure and spent two night on our trip at the Captain Cook. I wasn't 100% sure of it when I booked it, but both my husband and I agreed it was a welcome oasis in our Alaskan outdoor adventure. The decor is AWESOME! While it may appear dated it is very vintage and lux...

The host at the entrance was very friendly and he struck up conversation as patrons entered. The food was delicious and the service top-notch. Stayed in the Cook for work recently. It is very clean and very friendly. The people are big plus. And the lobby store stocks some good outdoor gear. The rooms are average. Clean, but unremarkable.
