Did not camp but took a break to walk brown by the river. Near end of salmon run(Sept.) so we saw LOTS of dead salmon along the bank. Nice scenery inspite of the dead fish! The camp ground looked very clean and quiet.

We stayed here for 4 days in the beginning of August. Our lot had room for two vehicles so our friends had their camper and we had our rental camper. If you are going there for the first time, the campground is after Cooper Landing and then slow down when you see the Gwin's gift shop on your left, the...

Just stay one day so not much chance to explore. We were there early August so do not see the salmon run, but there anglers around looking for red salmons. Kids had a lot fun in the waterfall trail. A lot of mushroom and a little bit rain make it a perfect hike.

This is a large well maintained camp ground near the Kenai River. Our camp site was not on the water but an easy walk. Nearby Cooper Landing has a few little stores with groceries and supplies. Very pretty area but lots of mosquitoes so be prepared for that.

During our travels we stayed here 2 nights. The setting is beautiful and great hiking and fishing. The hike to the falls for the salmon was spectacular. It's longer than the 2.3 miles they say - my round trip clocked in around 7+ miles, but so worth it.

We "camped" in this campground in an RV. The check in staff was helpful and friendly. Restrooms were clean, our campsite was very nice. It is a National Forest Campground and they are generally very nice. This was no exception.

We stayed here twice during our travels around Alaska, returning because one stay was just not enough! The location is picturesque, the plots are level and well laid out, and the camp is well run by friendly, enthusiastic staff. Ranked way WAY above any of the privately run RV parks we came across, and we'd definitely advise other travellers to...

Sites are well taken care of and there are great trails all around. We loved going down to the river to watch salmon fishing. The hike to the Russian River Falls was amazing. We spent at least an hour watching salmon jump upstream and observing the birds.

This campground was the best. There are no services but the sites are well appointed and there are great hikes all around. It is right next to the river, walking along the river is a great experience with nature and you can see why the river is the site of combat river fishing. There are bear warnings everywhere but we...

Did not stay at campground but we did the waterfall hike and loved it! Great hike! It was about 5 miles (about 2.5 in and 2.5 miles back) of beautiful scenery! Bears have been spotted there so be careful.
