Located in a quiet residential area, it was $25 inc tip taxi fare from the airport. JoAnna was welcoming, helpful and engaging and put a great, freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Breakfasts became social occasions chatting with JoAnna and her other guests. Had a great sleep in the very comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was immaculately clean with big fluffy...

Spent 3 nights at Planet Anchorage with Joanna. Bed was comfortable, price was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Joanna was a great host having good conversation, helpful with how to ride the bus and allowing me to leave my luggage until later in the day for my flight home. It's a little more than a mile and a half to...

Great place to stay in town with a very comfortable room and more than gracious host. Very clean and a terrific, terrific breakfast with veggies from the garden, perfect eggs and reindeer sausage. She was accommodating other vegetarian guests while we were there too. We made our way around the city easily with great recommendations for restaurants. Easy cab ride...

I'm glad you mentioned vegetarians because I take pleasure in providing fresh food for everyone. I grow swiss chard, spinach and herbs in my garden which I serve for my guests who prefer a lighter meal. I keep a variety of breakfast foods especially for guests who book a longer stay. I do a pretty mean salmon eggs benedict too!

I enjoyed my time at JoAnna. A very quiet, peaceful home with a kind host and the best breakfast ever that will keep you going for the day! (I felt a bit guilty, but could not stop eating the nut-banana muffins!:-)) Free parking and easy access to downtown as the bus is just around the corner. A great value for...

I certainly appreciate that Eva liked my breakfasts because I do put a lot of thought into serving up some Alaskan favorites. Eva and I sat down to salmon patties and reindeer sausages plus some pretty good banana nut muffins I make in the mornings. I realize that sound travels throughout the house in the mornings when I'm up early...

Host was very welcoming and accommodating. Good breakfast. Room was a bit small but adequate. Slept well but were close to kitchen so could hear early risers in the morning. Good value. Convenient location.

We stayed here twice, in two different rooms. Both were very comfortable and clean. There is a great shower, fluffy towels, excellent breakfast, nice living room area. Everything you can want in a b&b

Arriving just before midnight a homely note guided me to my comfortable bedroom. Chatty guests at breakfast were clearly happy with their accommodation and I soon found out why. JoAnna, our thoughtful and engaging host provided a mouth watering breakfast and the conversation flowed easily. Guidance on cycling the coastal trail was followed by the opportunity to test out a...

After our wonderful cruise, Joanna was the perfect hostess for our family of six adults needing four rooms for three nights. Convenient to both downtown and the airport, the location worked very well. The accommodations were clean and charming; beds very comfortable; breakfasts excellent; coffee strong and plentiful; company delightful. We even had movie nights! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The Good: Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, and delightful hostess - JoAnna. Note: Bathrooms are shared between 2 rooms-wasn't a problem for me. I can.t add much more except good value for the money spent.

My husband and I absolutely loved Planet Anchorage B&B. It was so wonderfully unpretentious and comfortable. It's in a neighborhood too which makes it 'down home'. As so many have said, JoAnna made us right at home, starting with the 'come on in' note on the front door when we arrived at 11.45 p.m. The location is convenient. It was...

“There's a couple of bedrooms upstairs and a couple downstairs. Personally, I liked where mine was located which was downstairs. If you have small children, you may want to consider upstairs. You know kids, the stairs are too tempting to run up & down.”
