We rented the meeting room upstairs for our wedding and reception. It was tastefully decorated and accommodates about 40 people. The staff assisted us with a decorative ice basin for the wine, and a coffee and tea service for guests. By bringing in our own...More

Congratulations again! We are happy you were pleased with your wedding, reception and fireworks! We look forward to hosting you both again for any special occasions in the not too distant future.

I last stayed here in 2005. I've stayed at several other places in ANC since. I made a reservation at another place this time, thinking it was this one. We arrived late, tired, cold, and hungry, only to realize I had a reservation at the...More
We planned a winter getaway to Talkeetna via the Alaska Railroad and wanted a hotel convenient to the train. We prefer historic lodgings to cookie cutter options so were delighted to find The Historic Anchorage Hotel. The lobby and rooms are lovely. We especially enjoyed...More

They do not have washers and dryers, but do have a dry cleaning service that can provide same day wash service. Googled laundromats near the hotel and there is one about 0.09 mile from hotel. (K Speed Wash). Hope this helps

I found the hotel was located in the right place in downtown Anchorage at a walking distance from the train station. Staff is always ready to provide all the assistance you may need. I stayed one night and did enjoy my stay in the hotel, the walk around town, the ride in a rented bike and the restaurant with view at the bay.
