Jean-Pierre and his family keep this amazingly beautiful former Priory farm as a luxurious and peaceful haven in the middle of ravishing Normandy countryside. They were friendly and welcoming and in spite of having hosted a huge wedding over the weekend were generous in their attentions to us as their Monday night visitors. The room was huge, beautifully furnished with...

Once a banker in hectic Paris, in 2002 Jean-Pierre had a complete change of heart, put his savings into the walls of this wonderful Normandy estate and went to work; cottages were restored, gardens were planted, and Le Prieure Saint-Michel opened for business. The 13th- to 18th-century buildings are faithfully restored yet contain all necessities. Being old, the floors creek...

We traveled to Normandy by car and as it was the first time we visited the region, we didn't really have any preference on where we would stay. So I looked for places that are in the center of Normandy and found this little PEARL (13th-18th century buildings!). It was exactly what we expected: when we arrived we were warmly...

This historic property has stellar grounds and outstanding gardens. The room was spacious and featured wooden beams and stone hearth. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome; even their wonderful dogs greeted us. Breakfast included some of the delicious local cheeses, as well as breads, pastry, and cereal. You would definitely need a car to...

We were travelling back to Calais from 2 weeks in Brittany & wanted to break our journey. My daughter found the priory online & thankfully they had a room available (turned out to be a large family cottage). Jean-Peirre welcomed us as we arrived and was the perfect host. This is one of the most beautiful, peaceful places on Earth!...

We chose this B&B to stay one night on our drive from Paris to Normandy. What a find it turned out to be! Jean-Pierre came out to greet us (with an umbrella since it was raining) and told us about the property. The premises used to be a priory in the 13th-15th centuries. We were given a look into some...

This is a superb place to relax. From the moment we pulled up at the remote controlled gates I knew we had selected a truly superb place to stay when travelling by classic car. The parking is on site and plentiful in two areas ringed with Hornbeam hedges. The Priory Saint-Michel is situated on a hillside just outside a tiny village called...

I have been meaning to write this review for some time now - having stayed here twice over the past few years. I regret it has taken me so long to endorse such a perfect place with incredible hosts. Jean-Pierre and his family are so gracious and the property and accommodations are beautiful and charming. This is the only place...

I spent here a couple of nights years ago. The medieval-dated timber which holds the barn roof will remain in my mind forever. I remember a bucolic place, great for a peaceful rest while going around the Normady

This is a most beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Jean-Pierre is the most wonderful host. We stayed in a flat with a kitchen which we adored as after 5 weeks in France we wanted to cook some simple, lean meals after weeks of cream, butter, cheese & sugar! The gardens are outstanding. Our interest is medicinal gardens & this...
