My husband and I stayed at Hotel Ballard for a few days prior to leaving on an Alaskan cruise. My husband stayed there on a previous work trip to Seattle and had such a great experience, he booked it again for our trip. The rooms are spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated the separate WC from the vanity/shower, it made getting ready in the morning go much faster. The decor in the hotel is beautiful and stylish and I appreciated the water, coffee/tea, and fruit available in the lobby. The location of the hotel was probably the biggest perk - very close to tons of shops, restaurants, cafes, and more. We walked everywhere! I would highly recommend Hotel Ballard to friends and family and would happily stay there again in the future.

We paid to stay on the roof and are so glad we did! There was a big wedding that night but the sound protection was pretty decent and they had great music so we just enjoyed it by the fireplace and the barn blocked the noise allowing our kids to sleep. The kids liked watching things get setup and taken down from our front balcony area. The views on Sunday morning looking down at the market as it was being setup was so fun! Stayed here 6 years ago and was so happy to be back & loved it even more this time:)

We were so excited to experience this quaint Boutique Hotel in the Ballard district. We stayed 5 nights and for the most part enjoyed the stay. The front staff was nice and accommodating. First blush, everything looked great. The bed looked so inviting and the linens luxurious. Both my husband and I have severe back pain from the horrible mattress and hard pillows. The desk was water damaged and unattractive, housekeeping stopped bringing full towel service and accessories after day 2. We had to ask and pay for a mini fridge. We were charged for bottled water $1.25 ea. All the flowers in the hotel are artificial despite beautiful flowers available each week, right outside the door at the market. We spent almost $2,000 for the stay. It was not upscale service by any means. We loved the neighborhood and glad we didn't stay at a downtown hotel. You do need a car. The upscale gym looked amazing but we were not able to use it due to schedules (it is complimentary). Surrounding restaurants and bars were great. The Sunday market was a highlight. I did expect more amenities in our room like a basic mini-fridge. I would stay here again but the cost is rather high.

We spent last weekend here for a couple M’s games and it has become our new favorite Staycation spot in Seattle-Proper. It’s a hidden gem with a local flair of excellence, sister property for a little something different, but the same. Attached restaurant worth the “good eats”’in a district that is plentiful with choices. A world-class fitness club that leaves you sore, yet revived. All 10 minutes from the center of the city. It’s Perfect. Even better was the service. Elegant, smart, intuitive, genuine and seamless. Rolled up into one package. Michael, Night Desk Agent, was a gift. And deserves the final word and acknowledgment here. We will be back.

The rooms and amenities are luxurious! Superb customer service. As a guest, you can also access Olympic Athletic Club, which is a luxury gym with incredible equipment, pools, childcare, group fitness and a spa! There's also a restaurant in the hotel, although there are incredible restaurants and bars nearby. I'm making Hotel Ballard my home base every time I visit Seattle from now on!

The hotel could be really great with a few simple improvements. For starters get a doorman. I find it ridiculous that the hotel charged me $577 for one night and did not offer assistance with my luggage. I found this kind of crazy. The refrigerator in my room had hair in it. The bed quality was mediocre at best. The mattress while at one time might have been great. It was a worn out pillow top mattress with stinky pillows that did not smell fresh. The bed should be their #1 priority. It constantly blows my mind how many hotels miss the mark when it comes to bedding. The Marriott Bonvoy brand for the most part gets this right! They have a beautiful rooftop area that has absolutely no chairs if you wish to sun yourself. I found it crazy that they didn’t provide any chairs overlooking the water. It’s obvious their main priority is revenue from catering. I probably would not return.

Don't plan on using the rooftop- it's always booked for "private parties." And if you are unlucky enough to stay on the 4th floor- the floor right below the rooftop- you'll be kept awake by those loud parties and dancing (I assume that's what the stomping noises were late into the night.) Additionally, our room was not very clean- the carpet was wet and the room smelled of carpet cleaner- I'm guessing something was spilled by the previous guests and the cleaning staff tried to clean it but ran out of time? We kept our shoes on and it was fine, but even opening the windows didn't fix the smell. Other than that it was a beautiful hotel and well worth the $500 we splurged for a special weekend.

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Ballard. Beautiful hotel, great location! Offered us a complimentary entry to the gym/spa next door. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location for seeing a show at the Tractor Tavern! Clean room, friendly staff.

I had stayed at this hotel about three years ago. It was great back then! Very clean and luxurious. Unfortunately, upon my return I noticed that the management had changed. And not for the better. It is far worse now. Not nearly as clean. The most distressing thing though, was that they stole from me. I had the do not disturb sign on, but the maid staff entered my room anyways. They stole my jewelry. And I mean this was some expensive jewelry. I collect jewelry and I had rare pieces from Tiffany’s etc. I am currently retaining an attorney and I am going to force them to pay me back. I mean these people cleaned me out. They literally stole every piece of jewelry that was in my suitcase. When I reported it to the manager she was totally unconcerned. She just said oh I’m sorry. I’m tired of people saying I’m sorry and doing nothing to rectify the situation. Stealing is unacceptable and they will be punished for it

The rooms were wonderful. The bed was comfortable, room extremally clean and quiet. The service was excellent. The check-in and check-out were seamless. The employees were helpful in recommending resturants. The hotel is within walking distance to shops, resturants, coffee shopts, etc.
