Do not stay in room 103, worst ever!!! We went to Seattle to visit family. Got the last room at the Ballard Inn, we wanted their sister hotel The Hotel Ballard, but summer is a very busy time in Seattle and they were book. When we booked they told us the room had no windows but was where the bank...

I'm really conflicted about this one. I bought a Living Social coupon without doing my research, which is my bad. On one hand, the Inn is very quaint. Stayed at the Deluxe King room w/ private bath, which was great. The room was just spacious enough, clean and the bed super comfortable. The service was great and the location is...

I love this place. Special. It is not standard American big bathroom fare, but better in that it is rea - on a real street with real people in a real part of town. I'd come back in a minute. The bathroom is shared, the room is small but the experience is authentic and an adventure. You have the use...

My wife and I stayed here for one night a few days ago, from a livingsocial voucher we had purchased. The stay was very comfortable and nice. The location is prime, can't be beat, right in the heart of Ballard. There is no A/C but the room had 4 fans in it which kept it very cool and comfortable. We...

We stayed here for 3 nights for our Anniversary in August. The location is great!! We had the deluxe room with private bath. We loved sitting by the window, sipping wine while watching all the action right outside our window. It is true there are no screens on windows, but didn't bother us. It is true that there is no...

If the weather was colder( NO AC at all, just an anemic little fan) when I visited Seattle for a friend's wedding I would have a very different impression of this hostel. (It is a hostel by European standards, a hostel with single/double rooms and shared baths). The rooms are small which was expected. The beds were sleep-able but a...

This small hotel was quiet and restful the night we stayed. The hotel is on Ballard Avenue and constrained by the historical footprint. Bath/shower is a common room, expect to take your turn. The staff is cheerfully friendly with great advice as to the local restaurants and pubs. They will not lead you astray. Most all the good spots in...

Had a great stay in ballard at the ballard inn. Rooms were comfy staff was over the top friendly. Will definitely return for a visit. Bathrooms were shared but that was never a problem and you have full access to the gym next door.

Hotel rooms in Seattle in the summer are beginning to rival San Francisco in price, so I was pleased to find a Living Social promotion for this place that extended into May. I was pleasantly surprised to find that many of the criticisms about this place by other travelers were exaggerated. We chose a private bath (because I just don’t...

I don't mind simplicity, and a bit of inconvenience but this was disappointing. The King room was very small (European like) with nowhere to hang clothes, or to sit other than the bed or one straight back chair assigned to hold the linens, which were the high point of the accommodation. Ice was a block away. And forget about sleep...
