NOT handicap accessible! No shower chair. No space in room to maneuver a wheelchair. My husband fell in the shower, had to call the fire department to help me get him into his chair. Please do not go to this hotel if truly handicapped! It is dangerous. Every corner was sharp, he was scarred up on elbows, shins, ankles. Great for those not handicapped - loved the quirky difference from other chain hotels. Cute place!
Bathroom was a bit old, no ref in the room. Bed sheets were great. Not a lot of drinks to choose from for the welcome drinks. The only food given to us was the welcome cookie. We were expecting snacks to be available in the afternoons. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk to Pile Market and the train station. Not sure we would book again if we come back to Seattle.
This is a funky, hip hotel with a cute decor. We stayed 1 night on our trip to Seattle, went on to Orcas Island and then returned to Hotel5 for our last 4 days. The staff was so nice and efficient at the front desk! Free bottled water was available 24/7 and snacks and drinks were available for sale. The bar appeared to be closed, but guests were using it as a lounge. Parking is on sit, but $37/night. The location is perfect as you can walk to the Spaceneedle, Pike's Market and many museums. My only down side was that there is no housekeeping so after 3 nights we asked for towels, coffee and the waste baskets emptied. We did get towels, but they left the pile of wet ones on the tub, wastebasket were still full. I understand help is in short supply, but when it costs over $1400 for 4 nights, I think a quick refresh of the room is in order after 3 nights.…
We stayed at this hotel on a very busy weekend. The Front Desk staff was friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful at all times, even with so many customers. The double queen rooms don't have a mini fridge, but you can ask for one to be delivered to the room at no extra cost. If you get on the hotel email list, you can receive some good deals, such as stay 3 nights and the 3rd night is free. I highly recommend the Staypineapple hotels.
Great hotel. Most comfortable bed and bedding ever. Nice selection of coffee pods. Free bottled water. Wooden floors. Nice lounge lobby area with some drinks and snacks available. Great location. However I was charged around $100 for overnight parking and I had no car. Only noticed when I checked the invoice. Seeing as I had a whole conversation with the reception clerk about collecting a rental car when I checked out I’m not sure why or how that happened but I didn’t appreciate it.
I really enjoyed my stay with Hotel Five! The Everything People are so great and willing to help, the staff is so nice and accommodating, and the location is so close to all things great in downtown Seattle.
We chose this hotel for it's central location in downtown Seattle with walking proximity to the Norwegian Cruise ship terminal, Space Needle, and the Pike Place market. The hotel staff is friendly and low key. Rooms and the décor are chic and fresh and the bedding is super comfortable. Our group included 4 young adult children and they loved hanging out at the lobby playing shuffle board and other games while listening to the alternative music playing constantly. Upon check in, we were all given a 'token' to redeem for a drink either at the coffee shop or the 'convenience store' that included juices, fizzy drinks and even beer and wine. How cool is that. Furthermore, the fridge was stocked with bottled water that is free. Furthermore, the hotel has 4 cruising bicycles that you can borrow (no charge.) Once we got off the cruise ship and walked up to the hotel around 9:30am, our two rooms were available for us to use. We were also granted late check-out (1pm) and they also stored our luggage, so we were able to tour the city more and come back and eat a carry out dinner in the hotel's dining area until it was time for us to head to the airport. The hotel's dining area has a microwave oven, so meals bought at the Amazon Go store 2 blocks away can be heated, for a low cost quick meal. BTW, the rooms do not have a mini fridge, but does have a Keurig coffee machine. All in all, a terrific hotel to stay in and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely stay in this hotel.…
We stayed here on our trip through Seattle. We flew in early for a cruise and stayed a couple nights to sightsee. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean, and the location was great. Easy to get to the Space needle. The value for the price was great. If we're ever in the area again, we know where we will be staying.
The location is great, as you could walk to Seattle's main downtown attractions. Overall the hotel was probably the lowest priced for its type for the location, especially if you stay 3+ nights. The bed and bedding are super comfy. But there are no top sheets, just a duvet. Shower has good water pressure, large shower head, and good hot water. However... there a reason for the "bargain." The basic rooms have no fridge. The halls are poorly lit. You can hear everything on the hallways including people closing their doors. The hotel is next to monorail so rooms are NOT quiet. I wore earplugs to sleep every night. The overall decor tries too hard to be "cool" or "funky" but feels contrived. Not a big deal but it makes the rooms feel cheap. The bathroom colors and popcorn walls especially feel like a motel. We had a fine stay for what we paid (not counting parking which is about $50 per night with taxes!) but I'm not sure what the fuss is about. …
Staypineapple Hotel Five is a hidden gem. It costs substantially less than other hotels in the downtown area, is in a terrific location, and the staff is absolutely awesome. I booked it partly because of the cost and location. Pricewise, it was about $60-$120 less than other hotels downtown, and in an absolutely great location at 5th and Blanchard. It was about a 15-minute walk to Pike Place Market, and a similar walk to the Space Needle. Several restaurants, pubs, microbreweries, and other attractions are nearby as well. The staff was great. We arrived early off of an Alaskan cruise and since the room was ready, able to check in before the guaranteed time. The following day, we had a later flight and didn't want to be saddled with our luggage all day; the staff accommodated by holding our luggage for us. The room was plenty spacious, the entire place was clean and had a neat vibe, and the bed was comfy. I will admit that we heard noise from the room next door when they came in late, but otherwise, this was a near perfect stay.…
