Worst experience - check is took over 45 minutes with only 3 individuals ahead of me. Stayed 3 nights with no housekeeping service available. Mold in bathroom. Severely understaffed. Was told at checkout that I may not get a printed receipt due to “slow system”, but did receive.
We stayed here right after the regulations got lifted for masking on June 30, 2021, so everything was in transition. It is conveniently located only around 5-6 blocks (15 minutes) of walking over to the Seattle Center where the Space Needle and Chiluly's Garden and Glass Museum are located. There is limited parking outside the premises and the parking area is located on a slight slant. We chose the option to pay extra with our room reservation as a package per day for the indoor parking which is secured. There was ample parking available. The indoor garage needs your room key to open to the elevators which offers security. Since the pandemic is still in transition, the normal Hampton Inn Continental breakfast was not served. Instead, the security downstairs at the 1st floor breakfast area gave us a list to choose up to 5 items for a breakfast bag prepared. There is a microwave and tea/coffee available 24 hours a day in the breakfast area. Worth the stay here and the rooms were clean and sanitized upon our arrival. Staff were helpful and prompt in checking us in and out. One other note, they offer baggage storage for early arrivals but I overheard the registration clerk mention that it was full for the day and they could not accommodate more baggage; therefore, make sure that you plan accordingly if you do not have a vehicle.…
Near the Needle and monorail into town, parking to the rear of the hotel, normal restaurant breakfast you'd expect at a Hampton. Small shop on site. Room was nice, nothing special, as expected for a Hampton.
Henry greeted us upon our arrival mid evening on 6/4/22 and set the tone of our visit to one of warmth , friendliness & comfort . He was pleasantly chatting as we checked in , walked out side with me to help explain to my hubby where to drive for parking , made sure we got extra towels & other items we needed and was just genuinely a Ray of sunshine on a gray Seattle evening ! Also the hotel is good - our room was / is safe , clean & Comfy! But really I want to be sure the management knows Henry is a gem & a superstar! Thank you from The Nestles - Erik , Keri & Caydin from Orlando Fl
My wife and I stayed at this hotel many times pre-pandemic and always enjoyed it. We stayed there again on May 27. The people at the front desk seemed like they would rather be anywhere else but there and, unlike our prior stays, were unfriendly and unhelpful. We discovered that they now vacuum the hallways throughout the hotel at 8 a.m. We had hoped to sleep in but were unable to sleep through the vacuuming, and when we left for breakfast a few other people in the hallway were grumbling about the early vacuuming. Also they quit serving breakfast at 9 a.m. The breakfast room is loud and crowded. We occasionally saw an attendant while at breakfast but then they would disappear for awhile. Also, trying to find the parking garage when inside the hotel is like Finding Waldo. Very poorly signed. In general, for the price there are much better options in the area. We've stayed in Hampton Inns in various locations many, many times, and this is the first time we've had a bad experience at one. One other thing for people not familiar with the Seattle area. This hotel advertises itself as being in downtown Seattle, but it is actually south of downtown. It's actually about a 10 minute car drive to what most people would consider downtown Seattle. It's just disappointing when there's a place you've enjoyed staying and then have a bad experience and don't want to go back again.…
Visited Seattle 20 years ago. Today is a disaster after the protests. Driving into Downtown from the airport, all you see is graffiti sprayed everywhere and tents with homeless set up along once Immaculate streets. It is depressing. An hour after we arrived at the hotel, we walked two blocks west and ran into a tent surrounded by used hypodermic needles with a strung out homeless person inside screaming near the Gates Foundation and hotel. I shared my concerns with the hotel front desk person that this was not an appropriate environment for children and her explanation was Seattle could not find enough police officers to manage public health issues like this. Complete waste of time and money. Shame on Hilton and other hospitality providers for not telling the City of Seattle to get its act together.…
Feels like a low end hotel. Stayed in May 2022. Took a suite with kitchen. Great location but, our suite only had hot water in after running water for 10 mins, bath fan did not work, no towel racks, halls dark and dingy, front desk understaffed.
We have stayed many times over the years due to its location and staff. We stayed here so many years that we've seen several remodels. However, we'll rethink staying here again. Items that have changed: check-in is now 4 pm(!), the breakfast is 6 to 9 am daily even on weekends(?) and the price for parking has doubled to $30 even though the lower parking lot was totally empty. The rooms are very nice. Ask for a quiet room, not facing Fifth Avenue.
That room is located next to an exterior door that slams shut with a VERY loud "bang" every time someone let's it go. Fortunately, other guests politely followed the request not to let is slam shut I had posted on the door (which was taken down and had to replace the next night).
I would rate it 100% if the carpet had little fresher order. It was little stale, but it is expected in March in Seattle. Staffs were all nice and professional. The breakfast was pretty awesome. The room was clean and equipped. The location was great, and the price was pretty reasonable. I would stay again.
