Despite the safety concerns about the area, this motel is extremely comfortable. I almost wish I could live here. 10/10. There was, however, some sketch a** people around. Don’t care, I slept the best I have in years, lol!
We stayed at this motel in July 2019. It was completely unclean. There was a loaf of bread in the dresser along with a dirty fork and other garbage. There was mold and fuzzy stuff on the toilet, the shower was dirty and something red and sticky in the drawers. We were not going to be in the room except at night, which still made us cringe not knowing what might be on the bedding, and after our first night they wanted to relocate us to another room as we were leaving for appointment. Were actually irked that we did not have time to pack up our stuff and move for them - they had a booking problem. In addition, their “breakfast” was non-existent and the coffee was either out or cold. Will never stay there again!
Nice little place. We checked in really late because of circumstances and the night guy was extremely friendly and welcoming. The building is a bit older and it shows but it was comfortable enough. The location is fantastic, only minutes from the zoo and some great restaurants. The only real complaint we had was that there was a lot of hair in the bed linens, which is kind of gross but they have been washed so I guess they're sterilized hairs? Overall quite happy though.
Motel is dated but that does not bother me. Clean room and comfy bed is all it takes to make me happy, not here, when we pulled the sheets down to go to bed, we found long hairs between the sheets and they were not ours, too late to do anything, so we slept in our clothes. After that the bed did not matter but it was not comfy.
I stayed here as a last minute emergency booking knowing it wasn’t the greatest... but after a very long disastrous two day car ride all me and my family were desperate to get out of the car and just relax for a bit. When we walked in, I immediately asked my fiancé to run to the store for cleaning products. I spent a good 45 min at least scrubbing down every inch of the room accessible to my daughter. I had to lysol the bed linens and still refused to even sit on the rock hard mattress without putting down a towel or blanket first. Luckily I had a few blankets in the car which we used to cover the comforters and to lay on and another on top to cover each of us. We also had to bring in pillows to replace the insanely thin ones provided. Every inch of the place was filthy. As much as I love cobwebs, dust and grease film furniture, ripped linens and burn hole covered curtains this place just wasn’t my cup of tea. Although the attempt to cover up any unwelcoming smells using dollar store cologne was slightly appreciated. And... to top off our wonderful night of watching static ridden reception on a tv with exposed wiring in plain sight, I was disturbed by housekeeping barging into our room regardless of the fact that checkout was two and a half hours later and my fiancé told the woman that we were not leaving for at least another half hour and that I was inside still to ensure she did not enter the room. (In the event my daughter and I were changing etc....) Never Again!…
Check in was quick and easy and the host was very friendly. Asked for late check out and it was no problem and no charge. Great little room at a great rate for location to show in the city. Definitely recommend to those who don’t want to spend a lot.
Marco Polo Motel is located in a centric area in Seattle, not in town but neither too far from nowhere. If you are driving is a very good choice, mainly for business trips. The rooms look old and outdated, but fairly clean. WiFi is No bad Breakfast realy poor. Keywords: Inexpensive, location, fairly clean.
I locked my door and used the safety bolt. The next day, upon leaving, I discovered NOTHING HAD LATCHED. Anybody or any wind might have pushed open the door. The WiFi was consistent and the heat worked. The television was ancient and didn’t work well. My room had small appliances which I did not checkout. One staff member was not friendly and another was. My room seemed clean, I slept less than I might as the traffic noise was bothersome.
hairs in the shower. filthy comforter. dental floss on the carpet from a previous guest. flat pillows. mattress like a rock. the only thing this place has going for it is convenience to downtown. get your tetanus booster first
We found this hotel to be fine for the price. It is a no frills motel, but was comfortable enough. If you like the finer things in life, this is probably not the hotel for you. Easy to get into town, with two buses available in a short walk.
