Hyatt At Olive 8 garners praise for its inviting atmosphere and prime location, with many guests appreciating the close proximity to attractions and the convention center. The hotel's staff frequently receives commendations for their attentive service, contributing to the overall comfortable and cozy experience.
Although the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and thoughtful inclusions like yoga mats, some visitors note the lack of certain amenities and mention the rooms can be pricey. Despite the hotel's modern amenities, including a pool and spa, the value proposition is sometimes questioned due to additional costs for services like parking.

Good location, responsive staff, convenient breakfast, handsome rooms - great all round. We have stayed at Olive 8 several times and it never disappoints. The pool is very nice and has not been overused during our stays. Very decent coffee machines in the rooms

This was our first real vacation since the pandemic started and we had been looking forward to visiting Seattle and the islands; we selected the Hyatt because of the location, it is walking distance to the main interesting sights in town (Space Neddle, Amazon HQ, Public Market on Pike, Olympic Sculpture Park, the Chihuly Garden, etc.) We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is very nice, we got a corner room with a king size bed and it was super comfortable, they are really following COVID protocols so the room was super clean and they were very effective in providing fresh towels or toiletries refills whenever we requested them to avoid someone going in the room daily. The hotel has a nice spa and pool area with a great indoor jacuzzi, which was awesome after walking all day around the city. Highly recommend this hotel because of its location, comfort and great service!

With Hyatt at Olive 8 you get everything you expect from a leading Corporate brand. Clean, modern, great staff and in a good location.
The room was huge complete with a massive bed. Arriving in the midst of the US reopening to tourists the team at the Hyatt have worked hard to get Covid restrictions right, from the little hand sanitiser bottles in the rooms to easy check-in.
Mid-town hadn't fully reopened with many restaurants still closed or working with restricted hours in place. Late nights weren't really an option. You are however in walking distance of most of the key Seattle sites and it's an easy city to wander round.

The Hyatt Olive 8 is nicely located downtown near the convention center. The rooms are well maintained. The large indoor swimming pool and hot tub are my favorite features along with the sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms.
I was put off by the large signs in large type in the rooms asking guests to not rape their staff and announcing that staff have anti-rape emergency buttons in case you try. The room and parking taxes were also quite high. These all may be problems with Seattle rather than just this hotel. I think the message from the city is for guests to take their business to a friendlier less threatening city.
The final straw for me was breakfast room service arriving in paper bags in disposable containers. What???

Be advised, there is no room service (not even for breakfast anymore). The lobby breakfast cart, open until 1pm, makes good coffee, but two days in a row had no cream in stock. The on-site restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays, leaving no food or drinks (of any kind) available to guests unless you want breakfast items in the lobby breakfast cart before 1pm. (And as helpful as the Andare restaurant staff wanted to be at the sister property we went to across the street to get our pizza dinner and walk back to our hotel, they are incorrect that the neglected Olive has beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, available for purchase in the Olive lobby. You can do carry out from the restaurant, but it's not open Sundays and Mondays.)
I suspect what has happened here is that the two Hyatt sister properties across the street from the Olive are fully staffed to serve the guests there instead of spreading staff thin between the three properties. So don't stay at the Olive if you're expecting what one would normally expect from a Hyatt property.
On the plus side, in the rooms there was hand sanitizer as well as alcohol wipes next to both the TVs of our King suite. However, for the nice wide open entryway to the suite there is no closet and not a single place to hang jackets aside from the closets in the bedroom. It's a few hooks on a wall guys, come on.

I booked a trip to Seattle due to some cheap ticket prices coming up. The Hyatt at Olive 8 had great pricing (better than local Air BnBs) and gave me a great view and perfect location to get around downtown. I had a great stay and hope to go back again.

Highlights:
Large spacisious rooms that are quiet with comphy furniture and space to work
Fantastic air conditioning and heating system great for unpredictable Seattle weather
Covered uber/taxi entrance to the lobby which is great in the wet city
Detractors
The hotel does not have room service but you can order and pick up from the in house seafood restaurant....If you can get though to place an order. I tried multiple times over my stay on different days and no one would pick up to take an oder. Even the front desk could not get them to answer their phone so i had to find my own food on a cold night.
The bathrooms are spacious but feature marble/stone floors which got really cold. The floors should be heated or be provided with a thick rug. There was only a cloth bath mat which was not thick enough to be effective

I had the pleasure of staying for a long weekend and had a fantastic time! The cafe has excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The bar I had a delicious salad and sadly I wish I had time to have a delicious signature drink at the bar. They do up their own flavored gins, vodkas, simple syrups. Amazing! The room was clean, spacious, bathroom nice/modern. The only thing, the glass door rattles when you move it, making noise at night. The bed was very comfortable! The location is very central and easy to make your way around the city without having to go too far. Good restaurants are close as well. I got a chance to enjoy the spa. This was a super treat booked by my guy. Had an excellent sports medicine massage and then a pedicure. The spa was beautiful! Clean, well thought out, super plushy robes, the tea is delicious. The change room clean, well appointed with dry and steam saunas. The pool has 3 lanes and is a very comfortable temperature that you can walk into without getting the jitters. I enjoyed it quite a lot. The gym is incredible with very modern equipment which he uses regularly. I didn't get a chance but did do a walk through and was very impressed.

Very clean rooms, extremely smooth check-in, we were pleasantly shocked to learn that they could give us a room right away(around 12.30pm) instead of 4pm which is the check in time. The person at the reception desk was very polite, efficient and pleasant. Bed was comfortable, it was a quiet room and room overall was clean and well kept.
Location is nice, walking distance to pike place market, malls, restaurants and big stores.
We had a car so we had to use the valet parking services and yes it was 58$ for a day but we could take the car in and out multiple times at no extra charge.

Arriving early at a hotel after a long flight with young kids is always daunting, however, the experience at the Hyatt Olive 8 was excellent. From the friendly welcome to the consistently exceptional customer service, our stay exceeded our expectations.
The location is great, particularly for the monorail, Starbucks Reserve and downtown shopping (what’s left of it) and the hotel felt safe, was well equipped and modern.
Thoroughly recommended for families - a pre-arrival confirmation of interconnecting rooms and an on-site pool, were both very welcome and our whole family enjoyed the stay.
